Lovely bar with real fire. Well stocked gantry. Comfortable bed. Dog friendly.

First room we were given was on third floor and not as advertised (small and drafty). Got moved to much better king room on second floor but had to wait until following day as no receptionist working on a Sunday afternoon. Had visited last year and found hotel far busier, with larger menu and evening meals served in the restaurant. Only meals served in the bar area this year and more restricted menu, which sadly we didn't find to our taste.

Great location and free available parking. Lovely cosy log fire in the bar area.

Hotel is very dated, needs a thorough makeover, and clean. Bathrooms are old and need a complete modernisation. My bath plug didn't fit, there was no hit water on arrival and strangly the hot and Cold water taps were back to front which I'm sure is not actually legal for a hotel!

Television didn't work first night, probably due to storm, so not hotel's negligence. Difficult to get right temperature on shower, either too hot or too cold.

A nice room with two windows with two different outlooks. Extra heater put in the room before arrival - but wasn't really needed! Just a nice ambiance in the hotel. Helpful staff with t.v. remote problem. Dining room and meal very pleasant.

Thin walls! Bar and waiting staff were undertrained - a little difficult explaining breakfast requirements. Room wasn’t made-up/towels not replaced. This was rectified pretty quickly.

Upgraded to a four poster room with a stunning view, views from the breakfast room were also excellent! Rooms were nice, modern and clean, just the communal areas e.g. corridors looked a little tired. Staff very friendly and accommodating, breakfast was tasty. Nice and central location in Killin. Good value for money.

The heating in the room was below par. Radiator was "cool" when I arrived circa 5.00pm and was cold by 6.00pm. Heating never came back on in the morning although the room wasn't very cold.

The food in the restaurant for both the evening meal and breakfast was well above expectations. For such a remote location it was a good place to stay and as mentioned the food was above and beyond. Would recommend a meal just as a traveller. The lounge area gave a good feeling when relaxing with a drink afterwards. The staff couldn't have been anymore helpful and pleasant. I requested a non-friendly pet room which I was given. Also pets weren't allowed in some areas of the hotel.

A beautiful traditional hotel in a wonderful landscape ideal if walking. Killin itself worth exploring and the walk down to the west end of Loch Tay is stunning. Rooms very comfortable and a good nights sleep. I have a wee dog who was welcomed too. Bar area was lovely. Staff professional. Good value for money too.

Clean warm in a great location. room suited to a travelling group would easily sleep six, 2 double beds plus a pull out double. Annex 2.

You couldn’t swing a cat in the shower. You couldn’t actually swing a hamster in the shower and it took literally 5 minutes to get just luke warm .

We are big fans of Killin - such a nice place to potter about for the weekend if you are outdoorsy. The hotel is what it is - we are a fan of old school hotels that give you a glimpse into the past and this one is in a great location . Reception staff were friendly despite clearly being quite stretched & the room facilities were good - teas, coffees, water , dog treats 🥲

Some of the rooms are a little outdated. The bathrooms need a refresh. Why must the dog friendly rooms always be of inferior quality?

The staff were really lovely, professional, helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was exceptional, very good service and really tasty.
