Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We’re currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil, and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt is a shame that you don' t include breakfast in the price. The whole experience would have been much better for everybody if you did, as from past experiences people could meet other guests and maybe even encouraged them to dine together in the evenings.
Everything was perfected just perfect for a few days away

United KingdomAlthough potentially unhygenic the en-suite shower might be safer with an anti-slip mat. A little disappointing the real ale (both taps) ran out mid-week- my personal preference for naturally cloudy real craft beer not having got here yet plus there might not be the market.
I enjoyed the breakfast choices, (although my own fault I forgot to pre-book them with my room), although meusli appears to have gone relative to past years. Also enjoyed the evening meals I had here. Great venue for getting out and exploring the local hills and surrounding area. Friendly and helpful staff and great I could still use cash to settle outstanding bills (though not a bank transfer) when I found my bank card had got lost just before the end of the week. Pity about the rain the week I stayed but that is hardly the hotels fault and as the old saying goes you don't (normally) holiday in the Highlands for wall to wall sunshine.

United KingdomNothing much!
The location beside the river was lovely, people canoeing and having a beer in the garden overlooking the water. The food and especially the head waitress made for a great dining experience.

United KingdomRoom:: Window could not be opened. Sealed shut. Light out in wardrobe area.Shower very cramped and showerhead too low for anyone six foot plus. Food:: Unopened mussel plus pieces of broken shell in starter. Drink:: Price of spirits verging on being extortionate considering being sold in minimum 25ml. Measure..

United KingdomWe didn't like the fact we were put into the wrong wrong we paid for .it was most upsetting to be told we were being upgraded to a large king size room when it was the worst room we could possibly be in .2 tiny single beds and so small with the view of skip right outside our window....we eventually got the family room we booked and to our dismay felt like the receptionist was trying to hoodwink us into a small room after paying for a family room .I actually messaged the hotel a week before our arrival to ask for the sofa bed to be made up in our family room .but it wasn't and is why i think we were being put into the wrong room .....it really is a dissapointed when your looking forward to being in the room you have booked and paid for in advance and your put in the wrong one ....its most important this hotel does not make these mistakes . We waited 2 hours for our evening meal apologies were given but it would have been nice if they had offered a free drink because 2 hours to wait with a doggie in the lounge is a long time .our doggie was fed up by the time we got our meal and had bitten through her lead .which caused problems. This waiting period could have been handled differently ...but the staff were very pleasant and always had a smile it was just maybe staffing problems .
The staff were very friendly and welcomed our doggie which was lovely The food was nice and the room was clean and spacious .plenty parking and in a lovely area next to the river .in a lovely village .

United KingdomBooked ground floor due to having bad knees and my wife won’t go in lifts and they put us on the third floor. Room was ok but only 1 socket, the other had do not use on it so when we wanted to boil the kettle we had to take it over onto the floor under the tele. Shower was boiling or freezing no in between Heating was on so we were boiling getting into the rooms, lift looks so old and dark I wouldn’t go in it, over all still happy with our stay but them points definitely let it down a bit. If we had the room we wanted probably would have been a great stay.

United KingdomThere were one or two tiny details that could have been better. However these were very minor and didn't really affect our stay. The room was still clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was lovely with buffet and freshly cooked hot options. I liked the traditional decor in the hotel and the staff were very obliging and helpful. It was comfortable and very relaxed. Killin was a nice town, and the surrounding area had stunning scenery. We especially liked to walk from the hotel to the shore of Loch Tay in the evenings.
