The only slight minor downside was we had no bedside lamps on either of the bedside tables. Luckily we had family staying in other rooms so were able to borrow one of theirs.

Clean and comfortable rooms, easy check in and great friendly customer service. Excellent location on the high street and helpful to park at the back of the property.

I have stayed before and had no problem but this time there was a lot of noise above me (didn’t even know there was accommodation up there). They provide ear plugs, because of the noise on the front of the building (A Wednesday market started assembling metal stalls at 5am). I would stay here again, but I will ask if there are rooms NOT on the front, before I decide. The room itself is fine for my needs.

Shame they don't do breakfast onsite as the restaurant and bar looked lovely. On a personal note the bed is a soft mattress (prefer hard)

On first floor I was just above the bar so on the Saturday night it was quite noisy (hence the complimentary earplugs) I still managed a good night’s sleep!. My bathroom was a bit small, a larger person would have found it difficult to manoeuvre. The weekend chef was off sick the days I was there so I wasn’t able to get any food which I was a bit disappointed about.

Lovely old property in the centre of town, very easy to get to all the places I needed to get to. Nice clean spacious room.Sloping floors and creaking floorboards added a bit of character although furnishings were a bit bland. Nice fluffy white towels supplied and tea and coffee making facilities. Ironing board, iron and hairdryer in the room came in very useful. Staff were lovely and helpful.

Mattress a little uncomfortable

Staff member on shift on his own at about 4.40pm very professional-helpful and polite. He had a stream of customers and remained calm and unflustered. Hotel had a good atmosphere-nicely decorated and plenty of seating areas.

Not much parking for property. There is space outside on main road. No lift this will be because its an old property.

If I was being picky, I would love a full length mirror in the room. Otherwise, everything was great.

I'm sorry to this nerfd that the attitude of the check in staff left something to be desired? Having presented my booking documentation there was very little in the way of verbal exchange or welcome? Whilst I understand the request for the room to be configured as a twin on booking.com, this info had not been transmitted to Katch, so there was a slight delay in being able to access our room during it's reconfiguration. No problem to us, but this needs attention? Other than this minor gripe, it was great!

We live in a digital world but yet staff could not check me in due to having no charger for the laptop. Had to wait while a member of staff walked to the sister hotel to check me in. Embarrassing.

Service in the restaurant was a little slow because of the need to serve customers in the other part of the property. Staff were very helpful throughout even though the TV remote did not work.

The breakfast was very good and there was a good choice of options for dinner. The quality of the food was very good. The room was quiet with a good view of the adjoining fields.

The room was absolutely lovely, it was spacious, clean and welcoming. There was plenty of storage space and everything I needed was provided for me. I had a pretty view from the room and didn’t need to worry about parking. I really enjoyed my stay here.
