The walk back up to the hotel is up hill and after a few pints feels hard , however it's only about 15 mins so you can stop for another drink on the way back!

Lovely house just Inbetween Bowness and Windermere. Lovely hosts with a fabulous cooked breakfast included. Super comfy bed , home cooked cakes and local produce in whatever you fancied for breakfast! Our room, number 3 was gorgeous, a four poster bed and whirlpool bath tub ! Fab choice of coffee and teas and fresh milk and water in the fridge. I would highly recommend staying here , superb!

What's not to like I would say. There is plenty of parking ,location is bang in the middle of local area making it easy to get about by walking.

Breakfast was AAA star can't get higher, never left out in the !morning with a full tummy and quality was great,cooked to perfection.The room was better than I was expecting, I can see why they are rated highly. Bathroom was clean bright and airy.

Excellent location and lovely welcoming hosts, we were greeted with some homemade vanilla cake which was a nice treat. The room was spacious, very clean and tidy. The attention to details is excellent. Would definitely book again.

There wasn't anything negative I could say about our stay, our hosts were lovely and informative to our needs, will hopefully be back there . Anyone thinking of visiting Windermere please book in at the Ivythwaite Lodge Guest house and you will not be disappointed.

The only fault I can pick was that we were in the front room and the outside lights were quite bright and was hard to sleep.

Our stay was absolutely fabulous ! Cannot fault this place at all! The hosts were fantastic so friendly and helpful. We had handmade treats in our room on arrival, and freshly homemade baked bread and muffins for breakfast in the morning alongside our cooked breakky! We loved everything about this place and will 100% be coming back for longer ! They had a gorgeous cat onsite called Lola who was so cute !!

The whole experience was just exceptional. Hosts were friendly and approachable, the room / facilities were perfect. This level of attention to detail just isn't something you see often, they literally thought of everything. 10/10, highly recommend.

Property was in a great quiet and peaceful location. Very clean and comfortable with some very nice added extras. Room was very spacious would easily stay again and would have stayed longer if we could have. Andrew and Abigail were fantastic and made us feel very welcome throughout. Breakfast was amazing.

Abigail and Andrew were the best! They made us feel very comfortable and gave us many options to explore the place in the best way suited to us. The attention to detail was immense and we had a spacious room where we could spend time with our kids lounging. Lola( cat) was the star!!:)) The best english breakfast we have ever had!

Loved that it was in a quiet area. Guest house was lovely, rooms spacious, clean and tidy.Abigail and Andrew were so welcom bg and friendly, good to have a chat with. We had cooked breakfasts each morning and the homemade granola and yoghurt pots were delicious. We would highly reconmend .

Creaky bed but didn’t bother us too much

We stayed here for our 2 year anniversary and it was perfect, The room and B&B it’s self was gorgeous and the hosts were incredible and the breakfasts were amazing we loved the option to have breakfast in bed or the dining room. We will definitely be returning one day cannot recommend enough

Beautiful guest house, superb owners who could not do enough for you Catered above and beyond for dietary requirements, especially coeliacs with many gluten free options and homemade gluten free cake waiting in your room on arrival!! Location perfect, in the middle of Windermere and Bowness, both easy walking distance.
