A functioning lock on the bathroom door, although all residents quickly got used to knowing that when the door was shut, the bathroom was occupied.

I wasn't expecting to be able to avail of breakfast and was happy to find elements for an adequate breakfast (cereal, tea/coffee, fresh milk, bread, butter) provided. Location wise, it was fine within easy walking distance to the town centre. Facilities overall sufficed for my own needs

Bus not very frequent at night but came on time. Bathroom lock needs fixing. Bedroom walls quite thin. Duvet had soft comfy fluffy linen cover on which would have been lovely and warm in winter but was quite warm in the warm weather!

Right beside the bus stop to town. Felt like a bit of a shady area but felt safe walking in the daytime as a solo female traveller. The Merkinch nature reserve was 10 mins walk away and a pleasant surprise - very beautiful to sit and watch the sunset. Easy check in. Very friendly cleaners! Bed mattress soft and comfortable. Rooms clean.

To put a "Breakfast included" wrap on the booking.com promotion for this accomodation, is pushing credibility to breaking point. There is NO staff service, and "Breakfast included" consisted of a few items - a sliced pan, jam and honey, a packet of cornflakes, a fridge with spread and milk inside, and plates and utensils to make your own breakfast, with the help of the toaster and nothing in the kitchen/dining areato sit on. No guideline given for how to turn on the electric shower. Premises on the outside looked like a neglected council tenement.

Room TV worked well.

Unfortunately we couldn’t stay here due to the unsafe area and lack of parking. There were people snooping around our car. The driveway/path to the door was very over grown and messy. There was letters all over the floor at the front door, the room smelled terrible and the toilet was disgusting. When this was brought up to the owner Kenny he told us there was nothing wrong with the place basically saying we were lying, his customer service skills are appalling. This made our trip extremely stressful due to having to find a new place to stay.

Street parking in a rough area. No staff at all present. Breakfast was based on cereals and coffee/tea provided by the owner but anything else we had to provide ourselves

Great location, close to waterfront, restaurants, ferry and train. Free parking between 6am and 9am next food. Clean and comfortable. Easy check in and very friendly professional hosts.

Major issues: the "double room" (room #1) is too small to fit 2 adults and a suitcase; the bed is too short to fit a 178cm tall person fully stretched & is flimsy with a thin uncomfortable mattress supported by a peg we had to reset; advertised to come with wifi but there's no net (told host but he did nothing); shower can only be run by pushing a button in a room outside the bathroom (my 3rd time in Scotland and I'd never seen this before), how this works was not explained; communication with the host mostly unhelpful and uncaring (felt like he had our money... so, meh); dismal neighbourhood (random drunk teenager tried to start a fight with me at 8:30am)l; view of back garden strewn with trash. Minor issues: breakfast insufficient, there's a laundry machine but no place to dry it except in the common kitchen, no shower gel/soap provided, smell of marijuana the first day, transparent curtain means there's no way to stop the room flooding with light before 5am (stayed there in May) We left after 2 nights of a 5 night stay.

There is no parking space, and it makes you worry about your car, which can be left on the side of the road. Unfortunately, my towel was stained, and I was not very pleased with it. We had breakfast included, but it was only milk and cereal, so we remained hungry. We had a double mattress in our room, but it was terrible. Every movement was perceived as in waves.

I didn't like the synthetic bedding! Never seen anything like this anywhere.
