What would make this a 10 for me personally would be to not have auto-scenting in the toilet room – or make it easy to disable during my stay. I'm a sense-sensitive person and all that perfume can be a bit overwhelming. I do realize that I am in the minority on that. Everything about this place felt thought through and cared for.

Comfortable room, with space to sit and work at my laptop (always a plus, given I spend a lot of time in the evening processing the day's photos). Private facilities (next door in a room for me alone). Wide choice of breakfast items - to be chosen the evening before, presumably to cut down on food waste. A lot of space for car parking at the back. Very helpful staff, advising on the nearest dentist when I had a broken tooth.

The en suite was a little cosy but adequate.

It was good that you could choose your breakfast from the menu. Simon and Marie were very friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed too much. There was ample car parking and everything was beautifully presented.

Simon and Marie were super welcoming. We had troubles on the road, so we were a bit late with the checking-in, but they were super understanding and welcomed us warmly. The room was clean and had all the utilities, comfy bed and super nice bathroom. Best of all, the Scottish breakfast!

Breakfast was very good plenty of choice and all freshly prepared. Excellent hosts, nothing too much trouble. Toiletries were of high standard and en-suite and bedroom were spotless. Location was ideal for onward journey to Skye.

The rooms were on the first floor and there is no lift so be prepared to carry your bags up some stairs - but this is very common in the UK.

This was a lovely place to stay. Our rooms were small but very comfortable. Our room had only just been completely renovated so it was fresh and clean. Breakfast was included and it was delicious with a choice of cereal, toast and/or cooked. Parking on site was available. We had a lovely evening meal at the local pub which was within easy walking distance of the house (5 minutes), meaning we did not have to worry about having a wine with dinner and then driving.

Everything worked as it should. Our room was quiet and spacious. The breakfast was tasty and the owner couple were really friendly. The parking lot was spacious. Short drive to Fort William.

The hosts were incredible: kind, caring and very attentive - nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was spotless and well, maintained, and designed with great mountain views from all the windows. Breakfast and optional packed lunch were great too. Being a couple of miles off the Great Glen Way (which I was walking) could have been a problem but they offer a pick-up and drop-off service which made life much easier. Also, Spean Bridge has a great eatery in the Old Station Cafe for evening meals. Being on the A82 meant frequent buses make it a good place to stay for a few nights even if, like me, you are walking the Great Glen Way as buses can take you further west to Laggan, Fort Augustus, etc easily. This is a gem of a place and I thoroughly recommend it.

Beautiful place, with a picturesque window looking onto the mountains in room 1, within a 1km of the Commando Memorial. A lovely village with a river runner through it.

Super friendly hosts, garage ready for our e-bikes when we arrived. Great breakfast and a huge packed lunch. Our group had three rooms all of which were warm and comfortable on a cold and very wet autumnal night.
