Room window was frosted glass as you could not see out or see how weather was.Stagnated water on roof outside of room when you opened window you could see it

Main lift was out of action, had to use a service lift which was very busy and not always available.

Good location, food was excellent, bar was a bit pricey but good selection of drinks, entertainment ok. Room comfortable and well equipped.

Think the pricing is excellent value, though wonder if that has negative effect in some regard. Had a couple of unpleasant experiences, I left my sunglasses in the ladies cloakroom and in a short period of time they were not handed in but taken, there are other places to stay too many to mention to behave this way, don't disrepute The Imperial. Checking out and customer speaking to Reception staff appallingly, again last comment applies.

Love being here, have been since childhood - my Dad would say going to Blackpool & staying at 'The Imp'- and here we are 60 years later always doing the same, this trip in memory of my dear Dad Dad who passed away last year - so many cherished memories it draws you back.

When you check in if you have an evening meal the reception should make it clear you need to reserve a table otherwise you can get turned away if there is no table for you!! Being an old hotel and the British weather unpredictable the heating in the rooms should be put on when necessary ( Older Generations feel the cold more even with convector heaters supplied!!) Although this was later put on and we didnt have to wait for OCTOBER SO THANKYOU!!

The room was very good and the cleaners came in every day which is very good as other hotels only clean the rooms and change towels on request! The breakfast was excellent and evening meals where good !! The room was a good size and the sea view excellent!! The best part was the staff when you had a request about any thing it was acted on immediately excellent service!! there for overall rating is good!!

Long ques for breakfast. Lifts out of order. Only lift available was so slow it was quicker to walk up the stairs. Rooms were tired and in need of maintenance and decoration

The lifts were not working, which made it extremely difficult to take luggage up or downstairs. The main lift was broken on the first day of our three day stay, and on the last day, the second lift broke too. Most people were very upset about it. I stay here fairly regularly, so I was very disappointed. The management promised 50% off our next stay... Hopefully, they will keep their word.

Near to tram stop. Good for those with poor mobility. Fantastic breakfast.

Grand historical hotel with fabulous features inside. What a joy to wander around. Much better than a characterless modern place. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

Decor is very dated, rooms and restaurant could do with a spruce up. One of the lifts was out of order which caused long waits for the one lift which was working. Could do with a new hairdryer as the one in the room look about 40 years old. Shower was intermittent with temperature.

Very clean, friendly staff, nice breakfast. The bed is very firm which I personally like. Nice to have an iron in the room and full length mirror.

The reception is completely disjointed. I had pre booked meals, and they didn't have some registered. But the biggest mistake was trying to charge me for parking, had no car, and taking payment for meals I didn't have over £80 in total. Also only 1 lift in operation for the duration of my stay

Our room was fine but the bathroom was so small. Toilet was jammed up against the bath. Although the bath water was really hit and the bath really deep, the space between toilet and bath was minimal making it not easy to move around

Mattress was little too firm but still great stay
