Steep stairs could be difficult to negotiate with heavy bags.

Excellent location only 10min walk to centre of Ilkley. Big room, very clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable bed. Good breakfast and friendly, welcoming staff.

A lovely reception from the owner who has obviously spent her whole life in hospitality. She has passed this on to her staff who were all very pleasant.

It was what it said it was, if the bed could be larger (we are a large couple) and the shower a bit stronger in pressure it would have made it better, but it was perfectly ok.

The room furnishings were a bit dated and the bathroom very small but everything was clean.

Location by the river was lovely . Staff made arrangements for us to get the keys as we arrived after 11pm and there is no 24 hour desk. The room was clean and fairly cosy. The breakfast was very good full English . The outside space by river looked lovely but it was too cold to sit there. The bar was a nice for a coffee to meet our friends.

The bathroom was tiny but adequate but the shower flow was poor and spasmodic.

Staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Breakfast was great and meals were very good. We had a corner room with good views.

Nice friendly hotel in lovely surroundings and in a great location for all local amenities Ilkley has to offer. Rooms were clean and comfortable, a bit on the small side but fine for a 2 night stay. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. Nice bar area and also outside area overlooking the river.

Slightly neglected on room not being fully ready for me (had to keep going up/down 2 flights of stairs to ask for basic things! I do understand they were rushed off their feet, but first impressions do matter in feeling welcomed!

We ate in the restaurant in the evening of our arrival. The food was disappointing, the crispy pancake rolls were oily, and the steak and ale pie very much premade and reheated - OK pub grub.

Being a pub and restaurant, the hotel constantly smelled of food. This wasn't unpleasant, but a little off-putting when your bathroom smelled of roast dinner. The shower room was tired, and could do with updating.

Breakfast was lovely, with cheery friendly staff. Bed was very comfortable.

The shower had pubic hairs in it 3 or 4 the tap handle came off, only one toilet roll which was cheap abd didnt go far , in the morning at around 7am there was barrells been deliverd realy loud ,i appreciate its a pub but i could have been warned right under my window after that i fell asleep and missed breakfast

We had to change rooms when we arrived as we were mislead about the size & facilities of the twin room. This was due to Booking.com advertised the twin rooms using the photos of the family rooms. (This was not the fault of the proprietor).

Excellent food both at breakfast & evening meals (which we purchased each of our 4 nights). Very helpful, polite staff. Nice walk along by the river. Added bonus of musicians playing outside & plant sales just along the walkway.
