We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe TV was impossible to use. Unsure if the remote controls were faulty or the batteries just needed replacing? Communications and customer service was poor. I knew that check-in was 3pm but I enquired if we could drop our bags off at 1pm. Several messages via booking.com were ignored and the owner only replied after I tried to call several times. The answer was “No, sorry the codes won’t be changed by then”. I found this level of inflexibility very unhelpful and disappointing. After asking if there was anything at all she could do to help, she promised to get back to me by 12.30 (which she never did). We turned up at the property at 1pm on the off chance and the cleaner had no problem with us leaving our bags. This is a really nice property but let down by blasé customer service from the owner.

I don't check my emails at night & left early the following day therefore on arrival had no idea how to get into the flat nor the keysafe number .Fortunately after about 30 minutes Angela arrived & let us in but she had no idea that we had booked an extra night so wasn't expecting us .That extra night had been booked & paid for a few days before because of problems with the train strike .Not a good start I'm afraid ! However the flat was super & Angela & her partner were fantastic & helpful .

The flat is really lovely. It has been updated/extended since some of the pictures in the listing were taken and there is now an extra bedroom, which was a pleasant surprise as we were preparing to use the sofa-bed. It is very comfortable and has everything you might need. Location is excellent - in the middle of the town and a short walk from the railway station.

United KingdomNot so much the property as the 250.00 security deposit which is not held on your credit card but actually taken from the card prior to your stay then later refunded. This apparently is in the terms and conditions which is fair enough but beware as it’s an extra outlay of monies you need to have available when booking. Credit card details are taken at the same time as proof of identity such as driving license which made me a little uneasy if I’m honest but there were no issues with the refund of the deposit in a timely manner.
Beautiful apartment and very spacious. Tastefully decorated and very clean. We stayed here as we attended a wedding at the nearby Bolton Abbey and the location was perfect. It’s also in the middle of the town so ideal for shopping and local eateries - Tesco is just up the road for any supplies needed.
