Perfect for our one night stay in the area. The room was big and perfect for two older ladies with a double and single bed. The beds were comfortable and shower over the bath efficient. Meal in the restaurant delicious and breakfast although full English the only option very tasty. Helpful staff

Chose the Ilchester Arms for its location to the planned Fleet Air Arm Museum visit. We parked on site and there was plenty of room when we arrived. Staff were welcoming and the room was good. Bed was large and very comfortable. We paid for an evening meal in the restaurant which was very enjoyable. Breakfast was very good and the staff again were very pleasant and helpful. Good stay and would recommend.

United KingdomThe single room that I had booked was small and at the back of the pub with a small window that let out onto a roof. Some folk might find it cramped.
The availability of the restaurant at the pub was welvome as there is very little choice of where to eat in Ilchester. The breakfast was very good and the service fine.

United KingdomThe bath towels were too small, need to be exchanged for bath sheets. Not having an allocated parking space in the car park was annoying, plus there was no space in the parking area opposite. Managed to find a space on a side road by the hotel car park.
Food at the Ilchester Arms Hotel was excellent. Had lunch before check in and the meal was delicious. Breakfast which was included was also delicious. The room was okay, it was a bit noisy as the window was open because of the mini heatwave.

Comfortable bed - good quality linens too. Room and bathroom clean and fresh smelling. Nice fluffy white towels. And best of all the bed was a double - normally single rooms only ever have a single bed, so I was very pleased to have a double bed. Superb meal in the restaurant in the evening.

United KingdomThe bathroom grout and sealant had large black patches around the bath. There was mould on the ceiling coving in the bathroom. Not a nice sight when using the bath. It could have been an easy £20 fix . Spoke to reception on exit but no one available from management team. They said they would pass it on to housekeeping but really it's a maintenance issue. Let the hotel down.0
