It could be a tiny bit cleaner - attention to detail wasn't there.

Wasn’t as close to venue as I thought when booking. I was told I could check in early but there was a £10 charge. The room is either ready or it’s not. This is really petty.

The shower didn't drain properly so we were left with a big puddle of water and had to keep turning the shower off/on.

The room was very clean and a good size for a twin - there was space around both beds and the bathroom was also a decent size. The beds were really comfy and we both slept very well; despite being in the centre of Manchester the room was very quiet and there was no noise from other rooms in the corridor. The staff were very pleasant and check in/check out was quick and easy.

No parking option, turned up and had to pay near £20 for the day in the complex opposite. Hiked prices for parklife weekend.

Nicely redecorated, comfy beds. Spacious, quiet room. Bright bathroom. Bag drop was very handy when attending an event earlier in the day. Great location for getting onto princess street

In the room I was in the bathroom looked structurally a little in need of maintenance. Air circulation system was difficult to work out at first.

Considering how competitive area it is it could be slight cheaper and/or breakfast included in price.

Good localisation but only if you're happy with lots of noise. Higher floors probably are better. Room has all you need, typical basics.

Quite expensive for a basic room. Curtains didn't fully block out bright street lights. Bathroom door didn't shut properly.

Reception area not a definite area - thought it was a shared computer/IT space for public use - no signage. Beds and pillows were too hard and very uncomfortable

Looked a bit tired, door to toilet wouldn’t shut, few other little bits that really should have been fixed, also wasn’t happy that we turned up about 1:45, explained to reception that we’d wait till 2 to check in as per email confirmation but then got told it’s 3 as you’ve changed times, surely you have to honour what you promised. We had to sign up to some loyalty scheme to get in earlier, bit of a con really.

With Ibis hotels you know what you get. It's nothing fancy, it's definitely not personal in any way (my room was almost an exact copy of the room in Ibis London Shoreditch from last December), but it's clean, safe, very comfortable beds, all the procedures work with no hassle, staff is friendly and helpful. The location is pretty superb. Train station's just down the street. Everything in centre is within walking distance. Gay village is just around the corner, if you're looking for the best parties in town, even as a straight person.

Too close to night clubs, very noisy. Very expensive for what I would class as a basic hotel but we were in Manchester when Foo Fighters and Liam Gallagher were on the same night so unfortunately one of those weekends where hotel rooms were at a premium and they take advantage of that.
