Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaAfter a long haul flight from Australia and having no sleep for over 30 hours, the Strict 3pm checkin was disappointing. Flights from Australia always land in the early morning so I always arrive at my hotel early but being told that I was able to drop my bag and come back at 3 pm was not much comfort. I was too exhausted to take up the offer so spent almost 5 hours in the lounge. Always check flexibility before booking

The location was such an easy walk to the conference venue and into town. Nice local pubs a couple of minutes away. The staff were very friendly.

United Kingdomit was a cold day, and the window was open when I got there. I tried to heat the place up, but heating didn't work. I did manage to get a portable heater from reception. Breakfast quality was kind of as expected - good selection, but hot food didn't taste great... Room was clean, but bathroom (sink) was not properly clean. TV reception wasn't very good. When returning to the hotel from my car, I got nipped by an off lead chihuahua in reception! Luckily I had ankle boots on so didn't really feel it. Staff looked shocked, but didn't say anything - I reckon the customer needed to be informed that was not ok!!
