Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFor the money the Ibis is a good stay. If we are going to a gig at that end of Glasgow the hotel is ideal.
Rooms are good, hotel is close to the Garage venue. Room a bit more expensive than normal but not an issue.

United StatesDuring our three week visit to Scotland, the Ibis was our base. We do not have any complaints and would stay there again.
The beds were comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean and pleasant. The Ibis is in a convenient location for taxi and train access. The offered breakfast was delicious, well prepared, and pleasantly presented. The lovely and helpful staff made our stays easy.

United KingdomNot the easiest of locations especially for people with walking issues.
Have stayed here before. Excellent quality and value for money. Breakfast better choice and quality than other hotels charging much more. Beds and room in general comfortable Have also stayed in Ibis hotels in London and Nottingham with the same positive experience. Staff very friendly and always ask if you enjoyed your stay- a rarity in more expensive hotels!

CanadaAt the check in I mentioned I wanted a smaller room because the person who was supposed to share the twin room was ill. They didn't have one so she gave me the room for the price of a single. Great! I thought so. But, at the end of my stay once I returned home they charged me the full amt they had discounted and didn't inform me of the charge. Very disappointed. It seemed very sneaky. I changed my great review because of this.
Just a bit noisey in the early morning due to the construction , 8am was too early for that. Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Overall a great stay. Thank you

United KingdomNeed a mini fridge in the room - how do people refridgerate their medication? I have IBS and use a supplimemt juice drink and yoghurts that need to be kept in a fridge. Not so bad for me to go a week without it, but other people have illnesses (such as diabetes) that rely on keeping it in the fridge. Also, it was a really warm week and my bottles of water and coke kept going warm due to lack of fridge. A lot of early, loud building work waking me up. Although I do understand that is outside of the hotels control.
I liked the room, it was clean, cosy and modern. The staff were happy to help when I needed it. I liked that the shampoo and condotioner were eco friendly/ recyclable/ vegan.

United Kingdomi personally love a fan in the room! the machine above the door did blow out cold air, but only if the room was above 21° which is way too hot for me personally. we opened the window, but due to the safety latch it only opens a bit, so the room was really really hot. there’s also lots of roadworks going on which woke us up quite early, but we were only there for 1 night so it was okay
the room was perfect, just what you need for a little trip! we stayed for 1 night to watch nickelback at the ovo and it was a lovely room, good size too. could walk past each other without knocking arms. we’ve stayed in a few ibis hotels, they are all great.
