Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It’s at a strategic location, right outside the bus stop, near the train station, short walk to the beach, amenities close by, I could also store my luggage in the hotel for a small fee, but it’s completely safe.

I loved the location very close to Brighton train station, and with bus stop in front. I liked the cleanliness in the room, the fact that I had tea and coffee facilities, I liked the comfy bed and the fact that the hotel was all quiet. I came with work and needed a quiet place, so Ibis Brighton met my expectations.

United Kingdomthe rest room is like a pod. Even on a weekday it cost us on almost 100 GBP, which is think is costly for a medium high end budget hotel
The location is a great plus for this Hotel, which is literally a stone's throw away from the Brighton train station. The rooms are small and comfy with all the basic amenities.l. But we have enjoyed the stay here and definelty worth visiting again. The staff were professional and quick. Also they charged us 3 GBP for keeping the luggage for couple of hours after checkout per baggage.

United KingdomThe reception area is very small. It doesn’t take many people to be in the area and it becomes very cramped and congested. The bathroom in our room was also on the small side.
Staff were incredibly helpful. Being able to store our luggage before check in and after we checked out was very helpful and convenient. The breakfast was also excellent.

Standard Ibis room, so everything was fine. The bed was comfortable, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the soundproofing of the window was good. The bathroom is fine, with very good water pressure in the shower. The hotel is 1 minute's walk from the front of the train station
