Only thing I can think of is you have to walk across the hallway to access private bathroom - would be better en-suite but didn't cause us a problem!

This was the perfect place to stay for one night in the area. Mainly the hosts were super friendly and helpful! Breakfast had lots of options to choose from which were really tasty and had a lovely set up. Bedroom/bed was really comfortable and private bathroom had everything you needed. Space to park too which was useful. Very close to nice walks and towns. Thank you for having us :)

I knocked one point off because… We arrived quite late 8.30pm after a long day on South Downs Way we had walked nearly 20miles and there was no where to eat and no suggestions from owner about what we could do apparently everything local shuts at 6pm so we went to bed with just the complimentary biscuits - It was just a bit tricky because on the South Downs Way in the direction we were walking there hadn’t been anywhere to stop for food or water for 5hrs so it was quite hard to arrive and not have anywhere locally to be able to buy food or to even have suggestions of taxis that could take us somewhere or an offer of toast but then again we found host really accommodating in all other respects and it is not their responsibility to provide food at night that was understood I think yeah we just were in a bit of a tough position because of the local area

A very warm welcome from Sylvie. My room was beautiful with lovely bed linen. The bathroom was absolutely immaculate with everything you needed. So pleased to see a teapot as well! Beautiful touches. A fantastic place to stay if you are walking/running or cycling the South Downs way.

The property was ideally suited for our requirements. We were given a warm welcome by the owner and shown to our room and bathroom. Everything was spotless and there was much attention to detail. The breakfast was good; well presented and as we'd requested it.

We were walking the South Downs Way and Hysett House is quite near (5 minutes by bus every 30 minutes, the stop after the centre of the village). Walker often stay, so they were prepared for mudding guests. They do a good breakfast and offer a packed lunch. There is a pub in the middle of the village that does evening meals.

Lane to property difficult to spot, but host kindly came to the main road to show us where to go.
