Rooms and corridors looking a little tired could do with updating

Great staff. Clean and tidy. Food good. Rooms comfy. Stayed here many times and have booked again.

The bathroom was very modern but there was horrific drainage/sewerage smells the whole time. There was also scaffolding totally obscuring our sea view we’d actually paid more for.

The scaffolding outside spoilt the view from the sun terrace. There was an unpleasant smell in the ballroom. Obvious signs of previous leaks and a general musty odour about the place. Needs a freshen up and modernising

The location is great and room was a good size. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. It was good to have the games room even if they could do with more choice

Just an observation - The hotel is very grand but a little dated. Current scaffolding is situated for some renovations outside.

The staff at check in were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Check in is at 4pm which ideally couldn’t be a hour earlier, I was offered 1pm check in for £10 but didn’t complete it in time so they couldn’t offer it on the day (my fault). The room was ready and directions to the room were given. There is a lift, we chose to tackle the 7 flights of stairs. We were top floor with a fab sea view. Staff were really helpful. Room was clean, tidy and the bed was sooooo comfy, pillows were amazing too. We had a bonus sea view too. We didn’t part take in the entertainment as it wasn’t quite to our liking. We had a lovely nights sleep. Breakfast was fast and convenient, not the best breakfast I’ve had but it started the day. Parking was available at the rear of the hotel for free. Limited spaces available.

Nice hotel my room.waa facing the car park at rhe rear ...it was so quiet at night...lovely, bed was comfy, good location, has its own free car park.

Two many stairs, up a few, down a few even when you got the lift to the floor you were on. Would have preferred a buffet breakfast where you can choose exactly what you’d like….altho it was quite nice.

The room we were in had just been refurbished, so was lovely & we’d asked for a sea view.

Not a complaint more of a suggestion: small TV placed on the desk difficult to watch when in bed,would do with a bigger one. Bathroom although not dirty would benefit from a deep clean( corners, cabin).

The hotel is in a great location.Staff is very friendly and professional. Ground floor,bar,reception and lounge all nicely decorated.We had a few drinks at the bar - very relaxing place with quiet music in the background. Not overpriced, which was a positive surprise. Our room was on the third floor,compact size,bathroom could have been bigger but we managed just fine.Room very clean,comfy beds.Third floor decor differs from the ground floor- in needs of a refurb, but this didn't bother us at all.Breakfast was just ok. I would return mainly because of the atmosphere (staff) and location.

Scaffolding ruined view

Paid for a.sea.view room but wasn't informed about all the scaffolding obscuring it.

The Reception staff excellent. But the Male Bar staff didn't know what he was doing and had cheek to say "can you wait "while he served another 4 ...my friend said "no as she was first" Our room was at the back of building and saw walls and dustbin!!!! £85 a night !!!!!! And the Alchol/drinks should be checked by weights and measures .

Peaceful..Very Close to Venue Cymru. Right on the front Seaview. Reception staff the 2 from Spain and Bulgaria wonderful helpful. Pity Scaffolding all in the front.

Scaffolding blocking seaview from bedroom window. No water or biscuits in room. No lock on bedroom window. If opened , there was no stop on it to prevent access from scaffolding outside window.

Bit pricey. Clean bathroom but smells bad. Lots of noise floorboards squeezing in next room to us. Restaurant close at 7pm no food served.

Nice location sea view from the room and bar and our room and bathroom was clean. Parking available if you arrive early, Nice English breakfast served on the table.

Decor a little dated but nice and clean.

Lovely old grand hotel. Requested a sea view, which we received. Shame the scaffolding was up, but to be fair, looks like some good upgrades being done. Would have liked the bar to be open throughout the day, so we could grab a coffee or cool drink. Loved the snooker room! Staff welcoming and helpful

Difficult access at the front for disabled people, there was a ramp to the side but scaffolding was blocking some of it.

There was nothing that we disliked about breakfast

Breakfast was verygood.. Food choices were good, service very prompt. The cooked breakfast was hot and freshly cooked. The dining room was beautifully decorated and very pleasant.

First impressions was the massive scaffolding all around the property, which did not affect us staying Saturday night. Hotel older style and due a refurbishment. Breakfast was waitress service however would prefer self service as felt our waitress was unhappy. Took our order but never asked what type of eggs , ended up with fried which we do not eat.

It was central location on the promenade, car parking at the back of hotel. The towels in the bathroom were white, soft and fluffy. The bedrooms had all essential items for a comfortable stay. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
