The place was clean and the staff were friendly. Had a fryup for breakfast which set me up for the day. Don't usually eat fried food but really enjoyed it.

The room could use some love and maintenance. While it was overall clean, the toilet seat was wobbly. Some of the walls had small stains on them and the shower in the ensuite bathroom made a very loud shrill shrieking sound whenever it was turned on, resulting in rather brief and not very relaxing showers. The room was also very small. All in all, it was a nice place but a bit on the pricier side for its current state.

The breakfast was great and served by a lovely and very attentive couple. The guesthouse itself is located nicely along the shore in the middle of different local shops. The owner was accommodating and easy to reach through texts.

    Room was a bit chilly.

Excellent location! You can’t get better than between a chocolate shop and a bookstore. Owner was very cordial and helpful with local knowledge. Coffee shop downstairs had excellent breakfast.

I Couldn't get a signal on the TV, not that I really needed to. Room was advertised as having a large double bed and it was a standard double. again not a problem as it was big enough for us, comfortable and we slept well.

Very close to all amenities, Ferry Terminal and good base to explore the island.

In one of the rooms, the toilets are behind a sliding door that doesn’t really connect to the wall so it’s just like a curtain between you on the toilets and whoever is in the room. Not the best but nothing we couldn’t handle.

The location was great with a spectacular view. The staff were so nice and accommodating, breakfast was served with great attention and filling, and we were able to leave our bags when we checked out until our ferry arrived. The rooms were nice and cosy, beds comfortable, peaceful and quiet, with loads of storage available.

It was quite toasty in the room, maybe a wee fan would be helpful to keep in the rooms during the warmer months.

Lovely location on shore road, local amenities and bus links close by which made exploring the island nice and easy. The bed including the pillows and the duvet were incredibly comfortable, we had an amazing sleep during our stay. Easy check in and options for choosing breakfast. We didn’t really meet any staff during our stay as we were out exploring but the staff we did see gave us a lovely big warm smile and welcomed us to the house. Really recommend this wee spot, we really enjoyed our stay.

Unfortunately the shower was a let down. The shower head was broken when we arrived and wouldn't stay in place whilst trying to shower. Also the shower base and screen didn't really keep the water into the base, and had to use towels to dry up. We also noticed when our keys fell behind the chest of drawers, it was severally grotty with dust and hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Inside the chest of drawers and under the bed were dusty as well.

The mattress & covers were very very comfy and clean. Had a great sleep.

Exceptionally warm weather, without which I probably would not make the following comment: In the absence of a room fan I had to have the windows wide open. This was summer solstice so the sky was light and I could hear everyone walking on the Shore Road as if they were at the end of my bed. People were out until 3-4 am. I was up early for a walking holiday 7 -7.30am so I became very tired 😫

Courteous, friendly staff. Lovely bed, sea view, and large bathroom

The only criticism I have is the price of the cooked breakfast which was in addition to the cost of staying overnight. Although the food was delicious and filling, the price of £10 pp wasn’t a true reflection of what was on offer (4 items of your choice plus eggs, fried or scrambled). Vegetarian/vegan options weren’t readily available on the menu list however it should be noted that veg sausages were available for me. Perhaps the breakfast choices could be increased to include veg options (veg haggis, bacon, sausage) and option to omit eggs/include poached egg or substitute eggs for another item.

Very homely and welcoming, Mitch met us on arrival and kindly talked us through the house rules. a very relaxed but professional atmosphere. Room 3 was clean and well presented with ensuite bathroom and tea making facilities. Situated in close proximity to the ferry terminal and all tourist attractions. Breakfast was fab and the service by Brian was excellent, his coffee was delicious and he truly was attentive to all our needs. We loved our stay and will be back.
