    There was no WIFI.

It was a different place to stay. We have been to Sheffield before and it was nice to experience something a bit different and wacky.

What a fabulous boat! 10 mins walk from the station although a car parking permit was available . Nice bars on the quayside for an oj prior to going into town for a concert. The boat was really comfy and clean.

    Not much .

The quirkiness of a houseboat appealed , got everything you need for a weekend stay . Centrally located at Victoria Quay, walking distance to city centre or Kelham island . Cafe , and 2 bars , restaurant located just along the quay . Very quiet at night . Comfortable , got everything you need in the kitchen . Bed was comfortable to sleep . Access to the quay and boat was easy following detailed instructions sent before hand . Now we have tried a houseboat we would think about hiring one that moves 😀

Time flew too fast! Would have liked extra nights.

Loved the boat. Good scenic views of river and nice walks around location! The boat was very inviting inside and had everything we needed but we did bring most of our own things. The weather was good. Made use of the local bar! Had a home cooked steak onboard! Was just an amazing experience!

A lovely boat ideal for a couple of nights stay

My only personal thing would be the actual going into the boat down the stairs on lots of boats the roof slides forward slightly to make the access easier unfortunately on this style of boat it doesn’t which can make it a little bit more harder to get in and out of.

Overall a nice lovely boat very clean and tidy and very well presented. Everything on board that you would possibly need for a few nights stay. where the boat is situated is a nice little area.

Though probably unavoidable, the noise of the water pump is quite a thing, especially in the middle of the night.

    Comfortable. Well located. Clean. Beautiful.

Can't fault it as it met all the requirements we needed.

Great location within easy walk into town centre. Close to cafe, bars etc. Ref breakfast, we chose to cook our own although we understand the local cafe is happy to supply and deliver if requested.

We just had an overnight stay over the bank Holiday, it's in a great position to get to Sheffield town by taxi or a 10 minute walk to Kelham island, there are a couple of bars next to te boat who serve food xx I've been here a few times now and just loved it ..

Loved everything about the boat, only dislike and not about the boat, few homeless men sleeping on the street nearby, it was a little scary at night .

We loved EVERYTHING about the houseboat! It was our first trip on one, to be honest I was a little bit scared about staying on a boat but it was brilliant! So comfy, beds were lovely and cosy, we were warm and my 4 year old thought it was so cool!

It's a shame that it has such a small fixed double bed with the boat being a wide beam. The mattress was quite soft. I think the bed would be uncomfortable for two larger adults. The only other slight frustration was the really squeaky toilet door with meant nightime loo trips woke up the whole boat! Lol!

The owner communicated well with us and gave great directions and instructions, so we had no trouble at all in finding the boat and getting on board. The location was really nice. Very quiet at night. A great pub, cafe and pizza restaurant a few yards away. The boat was really sweet and very cozy: fairly roomy inside and well laid out. I stayed with my daughter for one night and we both really enjoyed our stay. I slept in a double bed and my daughter had one of the bunk beds. I'm only 5ft tall and slept OK on my own. But there is no way my husband could have been comfortable in the double with me as he's over 6ft. And it's also not a wide bed. There is also a double bed that can be made up in the dinette. Our host had left us tea, coffee and 2 bottles of water, which we appreciated as it was not recommend to drink the water from the tap. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the houseboat. It would be worth checking what entertainment was on at the Dorothy Pax pub, as it would be a great evening canalside.

As a solo traveller this was so much more enjoyable than a bland hotel room ...

Nothing really but there wasn’t any WiFi and with two kids this would have saved our phones data.

Location was good for most places walked or took the tram, great place pictures don’t do it justice. Loved watching the ducks go by. Nice touch with coffee tea biscuits and milk. Mark and his wife lovely friendly hosts.

Such a shame the cafe next door doesn’t open on weekends. There is nothing else nearby. The bed space felt slightly cramped and claustrophobic until we learned to lock the door to that part of the cabin to remove that side panel.

Quirky and cosy with all the mod cons. Well designed interior with clear instructions and lots of storage places. Very convenient to have a bar/restaurant and cafe so close.

The only negative thing which wasn't really a problem was that I wasn't told that the cafe's along the quays weren't open on a Sunday morning. If I'd have known I probably would have purchased some breakfast bits from a local supermarket the night before and made a nice little breakfast in the boat because that would have been really really lovely you have all the neccessaties there to do so but like I said not an issue 🙂

Fantastic stay, was very clean, beds were super comfortable we had such a lovely nights sleep. Great location, so so pretty at night. Thank you so much!

There was nothing we did not like.

I wish we had booked for longer, but we'll know gor next time. The boat was great. There wasn't anything you could say was missing, facility wise. There was a hob, kettle, fridge, first aid kit, tea and coffee, etc, even an ice bucket! The location was excellent and the nearby little bars were so friendly. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. Thank you, Mark, for your help and hospitality.
