Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Breakfast was exceptional, it’s the best cooked breakfast. I think I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked, good quality food, fantastic hashbrowns, crisp and delicious. Lovely fruit salad and fantastic muesli and granola.

United KingdomLong queue for breakfast. It wasn’t too bad a wait in the end but perhaps the hotel need to increase capacity.
Breakfast was great. Recommend eating in Refuge for dinner too. Lively atmosphere in the bar with a DJ which was fun. Reception area is beautiful and the whole building is stunning. Great staff, with warm welcome and quick check in and check out. Will return.

NetherlandsThe very noisy bar, you can hear the music until at least midnight at the 3rd floor. That’s why dinning at the restaurant is not enjoyable. And one last thing, the lack of a toilet brush is not only kind of disturbing for me but also for your staff.
The building, the location is very close to my son’s student residence . Staff is helpful , attentive and friendly.

We weren’t told about the lift where you went upstairs, walked down a long corridor and then back down in the lift to get from your room to the bar/restaurant step free. So we struggled up and down several sets of stairs. Finding the lift by accident later. Otherwise it was an impressive and great experience.

Everything! After a lesser experience the night before at hotel gotham we couldnt have been more happy with kimpton. Amazing from start to finish. The hotel initial introduction in terms of the scenery is truly eye catching coupled with such lovley staff on reception. Walking around the hotel is incredibly, its history and how you have merged newer needed facilities into is truly great. Our room was perfect. After a trip to the Ivy and then several bars in the area we decided to try Refuge and to be honest we were really shocked for a hotel/public bar how much we enjoyed it and stayed for hours. Not your typical hotel bar. Our only bad experience was from ome.of the bar staff, a small barman who was quite aggressive with a customer regarding the crazy queuing system that was introduced (and very unclear) he was clearly on a certain substance and a few customers commented at his tone and physical actions. Id personally seen him serve people instead of me earlier on in the same location he was shouted at someone else for trying to do so very inconsistent. That aside would we come back to the hotel, yes in a heart beat, would we choose it over hotel gotham even if significantly at a higher price, also yes in a heart beat. Thank you!!

AustraliaThe hotel was different from the norm. There were areas to sit and relax away from your room. Really spacious with lovely big windows which made the room bright. Thoughtful little touches like fudge left on the bed one day, which was enjoyed. Happy hour where the drinks were free was also much appreciated, gave you time to chat to some other guests. Highly recommend this hotel for a touch of luxury in a great location.
