Excellent location for our planned days out. Clean and comfy rooms with comfortable beds. Good menu for breakfast that caters for all tastes.

The hot breakfast was not amazing like the rest of hotel, eggs either under or overcooked, sausages could of been nicer and bacon was very fatty. Also bigger bowls for cereal would have been nice. Lovely pastries, bread and juices.

The stable room we were in was very small, very warm (but small fan was provided), we wasn't told we would be in a room like this and we thought we would be in the actual house but all in all it was still very good

Pool and spa facilities were fantastic! Super clean. The evening meal was phenomenal and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also very good. Beds was very comfy and shower was good.

Restaurant service could be better. Maybe more staff needed. BedRoom smelt of smoke No feesh bottled water in room. Ideally should be a few complimentary drinks and snacks would go a long way to that special touch for guests. Windows on ground floor locked with so wouldn't open wider than a crack and no air conditioning or ventilation.

The spa facilities area was a little smaller than we expected however they were all very well kept and clean, the outside area was a really nice addition.

Everything was very clean and the decor in the rooms and throughout the hotel is lovely. We had a great walk around the grounds which are well maintained and very peaceful. The staff were all incredibly friendly and you could see how hard they all worked to make everyone’s stay special. The food was excellent as well.

Staff could have been more attentive in the main restaurant. Ran off without offering any sauces or asked if drinks needed topping up. Incorrect dessert menus given to start with and only realised once we’d chosen. I think they were probably understaffed. Coffee machine in bedroom is a great touch however instructions on how to use would have been helpful.

Checking in was a dream. Receptionist gave clear and accurate information regarding our stay. Breakfast was very nice and food served in restaurant was nice. Pool and facilities were great. Room was clean.

Not very organised at breakfast, we paid £30 extra to upgrade to breakfast for 2, we queued for ages people were just walking in and having breakfast who hadn’t paid, no one was on the desk to take our breakfast tickets in the end we found ourselves a table. Food was nice though.

Soooo many corridors - I did actually get lost … signage for the rooms is a little confusing and it took a while to find my room - and get back to the main areas. Having never been here before I drove into the car park, parking just past the ‘soon to be electric bays ‘ facing the buildings and could not see where to find reception .. if you’ve been before it’s fine but as a first timer I had to ask - would have thought with the grand pictures as advertised you would walk through the main entrance

The walls between rooms had virtually no soundproofing at all and on two occasions the noises coming from the next door room kept me awake. Also the noise from the passageways could be heard really quite loudly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when a problem occurred. My room was noisy as there was a wedding open day - when I complained I was moved and upgraded without argument. Staff 10 out of 10 and very impressive.

The room was very clean and the hotel is set in a beautiful location. We used the restaurant one evening and the food was lovely couldn't fault it. restaurant staff an hotel receptionists very professional and friendly. There was one thing but it didn't spoil the stay but on the Saturday evening you had a wedding on and the music could be heard in our room which was a little annoying as it went on til midnight. A suggestion would be to put the wedding guests at that end of the hotel, as they wouldn't be in the rooms. However apart from that we had a lovely stay and we will be back
