Most rooms are in a large maze-like extension, even with the map provided it was quite hard to find your way around. Restaurant service was slow, there seemed to be some confusion amongst the staff.

Could have had bottled water in the room. And maybe update the towels in the room, too. As a little tired.

Staff were very helpful and carried my case to my room even though I said I could do it myself. The pool area was really quiet, and I had the pool to myself for quite a while! The meal I had at Harry's bar was really nice and was a generous amount of food, although it was too much for me. Others will like the portion size. Friendly staff in Harry's bar, too. I felt really relaxed for the two days I was there.

The room was smaller than I expected. It's called "Deluxe King" room, but it was more like a "Standard" room, or the "Poorest Brother of the King" room. Also, I'd like to mention the subpar Hotel client services. They took minimum 3 days to reply my emails and my Booking messages sent to the hotel. And the automatic voice machine they have...well...they need to fix that: If you choose the first option "Room reservation" it puts you on Hold and no one answers. You need to choose another option on the keyboard number to get someone to talk to you. Finally, I don't find checking in at 3pm really acceptable. That's like paying for half day, it's not fair and it makes the room price even more expensive.

Swimming pool was out of service which was unfortunate, but the other spa facilities were still available.

Lovely location, very friendly staff (particularly Priya at reception). There was a lovely chocolate treat waiting for me when I got to my room which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

We didn't like the way the bride was treated . She had to move rooms to make way for another couple who paid more money !!!!! Disgraceful ...... would you like to be treated like that on YOUR wedding day ???????? For that reason I would not ever recommend Horwood House to anyone. My only objection is that this hotel is a per friendly one which means you can bring your dog to stay with you in your room and to the restaurant. I was uncomfortable with this as there was an incident with two dogs during breakfast which made everyone in the restaurant uncomfortable. I think allowing pets should have its limits. To allow a dog to come to a breakfast area, personally for me this policy is completely unacceptable. I think they should review this accordingly.

Lovely location, lovely grounds. Lovely staff. Nice steam, sauna and swimming pool. We stayed for two nights cost just over £200. Breakfast included. I think dinner should be included for that price.

The suite was expensive for the size and located a long way from the reception, the noise from other rooms travelled and it was noisy. The food was not value for money and the afternoon tea was let down by using tea bags and not loose leaf teas

Small amount of loungers in the spa and when it was children’s time the whole pool was full. Paying additional fee for robes.

Very thin walls . Toddler in next room that cried intermittently all night and woke iup crying v early so we had bad night’s sleep. Long walk to bedrooms . More insulation needed between rooms

Breakfast not available until 7.30 so had to have a takeaway breakfast which was not good. Receptionist said a hot drink would be available with the takeaway but in the morning they were not able to provide a hot drink. There was no decaffeinated hot drink available in the room.

Lovely remote and quiet location, impressive old Manor House, great staff and facilities...... lovely to have an upgrade too....nothing not to like..... spa was small but perfect with a lovely pool, sauna and steam room and plenty of relaxing beds.... very nice indeed.

Rooms were not clean. Bathroom had cracked tiles and mould. Toilet bowl was not cleaned properly. Brown marks at bottom of bowl. Small bedroom.

FO staff were excellent. Courteous with excellent customer service.
