Note: No lift/elevator to first floor, so if travelling with heavy baggage, choose a ground floor room.

Rooms with terrace overlooking pod weee very good and well equipped. 5 min walk to Towers and gardens and most provides easy stretch recreation after a long journey

Happy with everything and will stay again should the occasion arise.

Very happy with everything about the hotel. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Didn't have breakfast or a meal at the hotel but menu's looked good. Really liked the story of the estate painted on the walls in the lower section of the hotel.

small beds, outdated, no mirror in bedroom for hair drying. requested a room close to reception and were given last room in the hotel 472. No luggage assistance offered, with several difficult staircases to manage. very dark room, lighting not up to standard. bathroom extraction should come on automatically and not by a switch above the door ?

night receptionist, good check-in and brought shaver which I forgot.

No bath was provided, and the room was smaller than expected. We were told there was renovation in the hotel. Hence, we were moved to a smaller room with no bath.

Location, facilities. It is a good location with lots of areas to explore. There are areas to chill out and enjoy the moment.I would love to visit again. Good food, there was buffer breakfast and dinner.

To watch TV you have to sit on the bed because the chair is far too close, but must crane your neck! The buffet was rather disappointing, dull. I did not have steak because I noticed I would not be asked how I'd like it (rare was not an option).

Bedroom, great bed. View from the window, not overlooked. Good tea & milk in the tea/coffee kit.

Not happy with the "upgrade" which was to a room in the Tower. This builbing is away from the hotel. The problem we found was having to go back to the hotel for restaurant, pool etc. So in our opinion it was not an upgrade just a nuisance. If we had been staying for more than 1 night we would have asked to move.

Room was okay. Breakfast was fine although missed the usual buffet as less than 50 quests staying in hotel at the time. Dinner was slow but food okay. Lovely surroundings including the lake.

Parking for disabled was an issue. Most disabled spaces were taken by non disabled. Therefore no where near for us to park. Buffett breakfast on first day was luke warm.

Horsley Tower and the estate were wonderful. Food at the wedding revelatory the tower was excellent.

The hotel no longer has water in the rooms I had to leave my room at 5 am to go downstairs to get a drink which was really annoying. The bed we had moved every-time I rolled over so did not sleep well. There was also a lot of banging of doors. Which is such a shame as we love visiting the hotel.

Staff are always helpful and make us feel welcomed ( we have stayed here 4 times). Rooms are always clean. Beautiful grounds. we had dinner in the hotel the salad bar was amazing such a large range. The roast beef was delicious but the potatoes felt like they had been sat for a while. ( we did have dinner late).

Thought the rate we paid was expensive for the accommodation, it did feel like a conference centre bedroom, which is fine but felt the rate we paid did not reflect this.

Friendly staff, clean comfortable room, nice swimming pool, facilities seem to be currently being updated. The stately home is beautiful, but we were in the modern conference centre accommodation. Really good buffet hot breakfast. Didn't eat in the evening, so can't comment. Nice bar area.
