Initial entrance on arrival would be more welcoming if you didn’t need to head to the bar for attention. Just a personal preference as a female travelling alone, I wasn’t keen on walking up to a bar to check in.

This was my first stay midweek with work. Clean cosy double room, daily room service, well stocked Tea tray with biscuits & hot chocolate (always a bonus!). Excellent full English breakfast , amazing food for dinner service. I had the steak which was cooked perfectly and the sides were very tasty. Dessert - Sticky toffee pudding was the best I’ve ever had! I’ll 100% be back!

Phone signal wasn't great in the room, so I had to hang out of the window, but then again, I guess the design of the building restricts access.

Having a B&B of our own, it's tough to meet the standards of my wife's cooked breakfast, but it wasn't far off :-)

The owners seem to be putting care into the hotel but it does need modernisation. The down stairs room was ok but noise from people coming in the back door late kept me awake.

We stayed here over night as it was our wedding day. The room was lovely comfy bed. We ate our evening meal In the restaurant it was superb we had breakfast in the morning again the food was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful stay

On one evening, I stayed in a single room and I fully understand why the hotel would want to increase the floor space in a small room but the bed was too small to get a good night's sleep. It would be better served with a standard sized single bed at the expense of a little less floor space. (Once I changed to a double it was much better)

The hotel was a welcome break from the corporate chain hotels that I usually stay at. The decor was great, the rooms were spotlessly clean, with great hot water pressure, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and to top it all off the restaurant food was exceptional.

The room was really nice and spacious We stayed for our wedding night and we got back late and had one of our children with us that we weren’t expecting and the lady working in the bar really helped us by finding us a pull out bed The breakfast was excellent

Bedrooms far too small, difficult to move around. Requests not met until reminded. We shouldn’t have to ask for toilet paper or towels. The mattress cover had a rubberised backing - not good

We were in room 11. A reasonable size double room. Unfortunately, and I can’t explain why, the ambient temperature of the room was 26*. rising to 28*.The room had an excellent SmartAir portable fan which showed room temperature. Unfortunately it was unable to bring down the temperature of the room. Consequently I spent a very uncomfortable night trying to sleep on top of the covers

The only thing I would say would be that it would be nice to have either a window open or the air con on for when you walked in the door as it was a super hot room to walk into
