It was a shame not to have any animals on site during our stay.

The location is great. The hut was clean, well thought out and had everything we needed.

Finding it hard to think of anything!

A fantastic little bolt hole, tranquil safe place for kids to play, close to villages and lots of areas of interest to explore locally. Kids were able to run around freely, watch the animals and there is an open field area with Swingball and a goal to keep them occupied. Huts are well spaced to offer privacy, car parking close to but not right at the huts to avoid spoiling the view. We didn't go, but there was a lovely looking pub in the next village. Accommodation was cosy but well equipped with kettle, mini fridge, double hob and oven (plus loo roll, sponge, washing up liquid, tea towel). Fridge size is suitable for light self catering and honesty shop on site for any items you might have forgotten. Bedding and towels provided an added luxury. Owners were around regularly and responded quickly when we mentioned an issue with the shower (problem with temperature which was quickly fixed).

Lovely place, nice hut, peaceful and cozy. Owner is friendly. Great to be close to some animals. It's a great place for a family holiday.

Saucepans & frying pan was way too small to cook a meal for a family of four. (I’d brought food on route that I couldn’t cook.) No baking trays or dishes - so couldn’t buy an easy ‘oven dinner’ Plates were tiny - dinner plates are needed not side plates. The step ladder & bench need some grippy pads on the feet, as both slid from under my daughter causing her to fall, even when being careful. Grill needs better cleaning - line with foil for each visitor perhaps? A shelf or even an ikea Kallax 4 cube unit by the front door would be handy, as somewhere to put your keys, backpack, shoes etc or could use each section for clothes if you are staying longer. Most of our things were just on the floor, which was ok for a couple of days but not ideal if you are there longer. Ants seemed to appear by the door quite a lot, going on our clothes & suitcase. Tricky time of year though with ants.

The site is beautiful with the meadow grass & trimmed areas around each hut with a fab open space in the middle for the kids to play. We managed to pick chilly days to stay so weren’t outside as much as normal but when we were it was lovely. The Shepherd hut was lovely and warm though so we didn’t feel the chilly outdoor weather. The kids loved the animals as well, particularly the horse. Nice to have a clean private bathroom with nice size soft towels. Access as soon as we arrived was great, as we were a bit later than planned due to traffic. Also having a sponge, tea towel, washing up liquid & kitchen roll was great, as I’d completely forgotten to pack that. Overall we really enjoyed our stay & would stay again.

The fridge was a little small if you are planning on doing a lot of self catering - but perfect for keeping all the basics in.

The use of free beer or ice cream logo parasols took away the luxury look and feel. The shop supplies could also be alittle better but done the job. The local pubs all need booking in advanced.

The accomodation and setting was outstanding. Very well thought out and of a high standard.

Shower was awful! Switched between boiling hot water and cold throughout. It was impossible to get a proper shower as the water was constantly switching to scalding regardless of the setting. I was on my own so pans etc were fine but for a couple or family the pans were very small - as were the crockery, especially the plates. There is nowhere to sit on the site without being overlooked. It would have been nice to have tables/chairs outside that can be moved behind the hut for those who like a little privacy to eat/read etc outside.

Lovely and clean. Really nice to have clean white bedding, comfortable double bed and clean towels, washing up liquid and tea towels.

A little smaller than expected, the managing agents were a little slapdash and paying for the visit was a lot harder than it should have been.

Completely self service, a little more cramped that expected, however, not bad for a short visit. It was well maintained and for one night only, it was a good choice. Would not recommend for longer visits as it may get a little too cramped.

The property is run via an automated service so the experience is efficient, but not personal. It's such a shame because the grounds are beautiful and perhaps designed for people to escape other people. But as the cistern had an issue (I fixed) the blind was already broken (I couldn't fix) and we had no soap nor tea provided so it felt very clinical/impersonal. Almost as if the owners had some land they wanted to generate income from but wanted to do less than the bare minimum to manage. The morning we were due to leave we had a text demanding payment which I think was unnecessary; I had to give my card details to a person (the only one we spoke to for the whole stay) over the phone and this didn't feel secure.

Lock box; no human interaction. This is ideal because you can arrive whenever you like. No stress about check in. Efficient. The location is a lovely field and they even offer a BBQ and recycling services (you must clean yourself, obviously). If you're after isolation and want to get away from humans then this is ideal. The other huts aren't that close to you.
