Our room was large with a chair & sofa but there was no communal lounge area.

Instructions ahead could have been a little clearer - just in terms of coming into the right gate. But was all good! Everything else was fab!

Lovely room with a wonderfully comfortable bed, decorated beautifully and a fab bathroom. The setting of the BnB is stunning, picture perfect little courtyard when you arrive and views of the countryside. Tasty breakfast in the morning and lots of nice places to eat a short drive away. We didn't use the pool but will be back to have a go next time!

This place had everything and more. Hugely comfortable and a great breakfast. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Very convenient for visiting Glamis castle. The hosts were speedy in answering queries and suggestions for places to eat.

An excellent, clean and spacious b&b run by friendly and helpful hosts. Whilst we did not avail ourselves of the pool and sauna facilities, both were available and might have been very appealing on a future trip. Our room was large, very clean and tidy and equipped to a high level with a large comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, highly recommended.

Surrounded by nature, in the bonny Angus hills, this property is stunning. Hosted, remarkably professionally, it is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Spa is an added treat and breakfast was quality.

We couldn't fault anything.

Robert and Paula are exceptional hosts. They have a wonderful B&B and the facilities are very clean, comfortable and of a very high standard. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were a knockout! Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice and enjoyed in the spacious dining hall. Our hosts made us feel like part of a family rather than strangers. We will definitely be back again soon.

We had trouble finding it and had to call them to guide us in.The time we spent finding it would have allowed us to relax and enjoy the place more. A map should accompany this residence.

The grounds were beautiful. The room was spacious anf the renovated old building was cozy. Furnishings were rustic and beautiful. The host and hostess were nice and very accommodating.

Extremely spacious room. Very comfortable bed. Well appointed bathroom. Wish we'd had time to use the amazing pool! Breakfast was lovely & the hosts friendly & helpful. The. breakfast was amazing. The location though a little off the beaten track, meant that it was set in gorgeous peaceful countryside.

The perfect place to get away from it all. The room was spotless with everything that you could need for a really relaxing stay. The spa was amazingly clean, we really enjoyed swimming in the pool and using the sauna and the jacuzzi. Breakfast was fantastic, again so relaxed and such high quality. We felt really welcome and well looked after, it was a pleasure to meet Paula and Robert. We're already planning our return trip!

My only thing I didn't like was the steps down into the pool, needs new steps which go further down to nearer bottom of the pool, ist step up out of pool is very high up. Pool, jacuzzi, and sauna etc were lovely and very clean.

Room was lovely and big, and bathroom was amazing lovely large walkin shower and also a large bath. Breakfast was excellent, in a lovely warm room with a wood burner fire. Hosts were exceptional. They were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, very lovely couple. We have already decided to go back there next year. Pool, sauna and jacuzzi were spotless and loved every minute of our stay and time there.

Great wee night away at the B&B. Lovely hosts, lovely location, pool & room were absolutely spotless. 10/10. The hosts also accommodated us to a small continental breakfast due to us needing to be out at 7.30am. We didn’t expect any breakfast but this was a really nice gesture. Will book again if we need to visit Montrose in the future.

Had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous rural location. We stayed in the Poppy Room which was very comfortable, with a fabulous en-suite comprising of a huge walk in shower and large bath. The property is spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard. We pre-booked the pool/jacuzzi facilities during our stay which were wonderful and had the entire pool to ourselves. Paula and Robert were fabulous hosts and will definitely return in the future.

Spectacular property, beautiful room and so well kept. The gardens and gazebo were lovely. Such wonderful hospitality!! The owners made us feel so comfortable and right at home. Breakfast was delicious too!!

Just perfect. I have Never seen an hotel clean like Thatcher The poppy room is stunning With a king size bed,comfy linen. Amazing bathroom. Paula is very friendly . Spa and swimming pool Amazing. My only regret is to have spent only one night Very good breakfast.
