Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSignage to the main car park was not visible so nearly went past the entrance. Staff wanted to clean my room before I'd checked out
Walking into the foyer I was impressed with the space and ambience. Check-in was quick and easy, the staff member friendly. Extra supplies for the room was given when asked for. The room was a nice size, clean, comfortable. Would use again

United KingdomMy fish and chip was very disappointing. The fish had zero taste and overcooked. The chips also had no taste. The desert was not much better either.
Very good for a short one night stay.

United KingdomThe bed!
Very attractive hotel. We often stay at Double Tret hotels in various cities. Given a first floor room in quiet area which was a good size. Restaurant food has pub prices but slightly more expensive wines. Pleasant staff only downside we had a very uncomfortable bed it squeaked at every move.

United KingdomNothing was bad but things needed an update; tiles with holes that had been filled in as appliances had been updated. Carpets dated. Fold out sofa bed not that comfortable, felt very 'springy'. Poor shower presssure in the pool changing rooms but was still extremely happy to have a pool at all for the price.
Lovely modern reception/ lounge & restaurant area. Reception was a lovely space, good sofas to chat & bar available in reception for a drink. Suspect this area all modernised as a priority over the rooms. Good sized rooms but slightly tired & in need of update at some point. Particularly liked the availability of a swimming pool, made our stop over feel like a real holiday! All facilities were working; pool, sauna, steam room & jacuzzi. Changing room with clothes spinner.

United KingdomThe restaurant really lets the place down: at dinner time (6.30 sitting on a Sunday) the restaurant ran out of a large number of dishes, so we went for burgers. These arrived fairly quickly but were super bland: think Weatherspoons on a bad day-type quality. Certainly edible but at £17 a piece you'd certainly expect something better. Drink prices are shocking for an out of London location: £7 for a pint of lager and a near-on 400 per cent mark up on a bottle of white is nothing short of disgusting. I understand from the manager's responses to previous reviews that it's the HQ that sets up the prices, but given it's a recurring theme, it certainly may be something to bring up with the powers that be. Breakfast was equally poor - poor quality and poor quantity (slow to replenish), certainly not good value for money. Overall, great hotel, lovely staff but restaurant needs a proper rethink. We would certainly stay again but forego breakfast and either dine in Newbury or order Uber Eats.
Excellent location, great pool and spa. Spacious and clean room, very comfortable beds: decor may need some updating but for the price you pay you really can't complain. Staff, for the.most part is lovely and helpful - big shout out to the living well employee for a lovely chat about cats and what drama queens they can be!

United KingdomFor a hotel from Hilton, the tv stations was very limited in the room. We only had channels 1-5 and bbc1 didn’t even have sound for some reason. Besides that… couldn’t fault it

United KingdomMy reservation said that our Queen room had a balcony and also a kitchenette where you can make meals & a microwave. When we arrived, our room had neither of those things. Therefore, our expectations were wrong.
Bed & bedding/Pillows were comfortable. Cookie was very nice. We enjoyed the pool & hot tub. Overall, the room was pleasant. We had a drink in the bar area, which was fine.

United KingdomWe arrived at around 19:30 and had some dinner, a pizza, some haloumi cheese fries and calamary, which were not really that good taste wise, £46 pounds could have been better spent.
Room was a good size and had a big bed, had a bath and shower was happy with that, did have a TV. there are no elevators so if you cant go up the stairs then better get a ground floor room.

United KingdomFirst and foremost the staff were lovely from the moment we arrived. From the receptionist to the new young lady on the bar, they were fantastic. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the gentleman who was attending the pool/gym. Every time I saw him he was busy on his mobile or scrolling Facebook. I think his time would've been better spent cleaning the revolting men's changing room. Food was massively over priced for what it was. Breakfast at £15 each was very disappointing. The lady in charge of the restaurant for breakfast was really friendly and helpful.
