We were not aware there was a car parking charge for hotel guests. We didn’t have our room cleaned as we were only there 2 nights which allowed us to get 20% off our food and drink bill in the restaurant. However, we forgot to put a door tab, supplied by the hotel, on the door for the room maid saying this, they were outside our room so we told them verbally. We explained this to the receptionist to see if we could still have the discount off our evening meal and she said no. Service charge was added to our restaurant bill and we were not told, we would have left a tip though.

Quick and efficient check in/out and friendly staff. The hotel and room were spacious. Situated close to the M20 which was ideal for us to explore the Kent area. Large car park, good size pool and gym.

Difficult to find serious negatives but not having a lift may be an issue for some and although the restaurant was good, for slightly longer stays the limited choices could conceivably be a tad repetitive

Mattress was soaking wet and bed had been made, wasn’t until we got into bed did we realise this.

Shower curtain and chipped sink

Room was great apart from the shower had a curtain and the sink was badly chipped. Breakfast was excellent and bar area and staff were great

The bathroom suite appeared new but the bath was so deep that it was very difficult to get into it to shower- a significant problem for anyone with hip or knee problems.

A reasonably large clean comfortable room. Apparently the hotel had been refurbished. Reasonably good meal on the a la carte menu with reasonable quality wine too.

Room great, large bathroom. Breakfast, sometimes the bacon was dry otherwise plenty of choice and gluten free options for my wife.

The leisure facilities. Unfortunately pool closed at 6pm on a Sunday. Just as we’d arrived! Went following day. Was disappointed. Was hoping to relax but there was a children’s swimming lesson. Also changing rooms and particularly the showers were very dirty.

Staff friendly and helpful. Room lovely. Breakfast was fabulous.

Basic home comforts. If you want modern, plush & 5 stars then look somewhere else.

It was conveniently placed for our visit. I used to live in Maidstone, so I know most of the hotels around the area. It was clean & comfortable & although we had a blocked plughole in the shower, they sent someone immediately to fix it. The breakfasts were tasty & plenty to choose from, including a cook your own pancake maker! I booked through Bookjng.com & got a discount. £200 for 2 nights including breakfast…bargain! Will always stay here when we visit family.

Car parking is £5 a night. Should be free to guests staying. Hotel is quite old and could do with a redurb, however I feel the great value price reflects this.

Comfortably located close to the M20 for access to the sea or London. Well spaced out hotel with decent facilities in the spa and gym. Room was a good size and well equipped with a large flat screen and coffee/tea making facilities. Breakfast was very good, although the scrambled eggs were a little suspect, watery and not so good.
