its ridiculous to advertise as pet friendly but charge £50 for a dog to stay for one night, it is ridiculous to advertise as having a pool but having to pay £30 per person to use it! it is totally unacceptable

great beautiful location with a lovely local pub to walk to which served excellent meals and good selection of beers with a coal fire, excellent facilities, very welcoming staff the comfiest bed !

The room configuration was a bit strange due to the sink being in the main part of the room and the toilet and shower each in little cubicles. It was fine for us as a couple but if sharing with a friend it might be a bit awkward. The lighting in the bar and restaurant areas could be a bit more atmospheric in the evenings. The lights were just a bit too bright and like a kitchen rather than a dining and bar area. Maybe some of the large, outer spotlights could be dimmed or switched off? The recess lighting and chandelier lights are lovely.

Breakfast was excellent both mornings. Plenty of choice and all items well stocked and replenished. Coffee was nice too. Dinner on the first evening was excellent. Seabass was perfectly cooked. On the second evening the food was still great but the service was a bit slow. It was a nice touch having a Saxophonist playing in the foyer all evening. This created a nice ambience. The bar staff were excellent and the range of cocktails was good. We enjoyed the Espresso Martini. We used the spa which was also excellent. It was lovely sitting in the outside jacuzzi whilst the rain was falling but we were still warm!

I would have liked the toilet and shower doors to give more privacy.

The lighting in the bar/restaurant could have been dialled down a little maybe, also the TV’s in the room perhaps could have access to Netflix or other streaming service. Minor things though.

Smart, modern clean rooms. Food is good in the restaurant and decent value for money in there and the bar. Good use of space in the rooms and well stocked gym.

2 downfalls for me where to do with the room, ours didn’t have a bath, I’m not sure if any others do. But it’s personal preference of mine to have a bath in a hotel room. Plus, there where no biscuits left with the tea and coffee facilities. Only a small touch but one that makes all the difference.

Super stylish and secluded hotel. A short drive away from lovely Conwy. Great size bedrooms, lovely facilities in room. Great bar and restaurant on site, and can also buy last minute handy bits from a small on site shop. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very child friendly.

The breakfast was not warm enough, although there was plenty to choose from. The chef disappeared meaning that fried eggs were not available. Fried eggs were requested but despite promises that the chef would return shortly he had still not appeared 20 minutes later. We were on our way to a funeral, so little things like this did not help the mood of the day.

The food service was extremely slow. We waited nearly an hour since we ordered our dinner until they brought it.

The look of the property upon entering looks very industrial and not very inviting could do with some greenery to soften the entrance . also we arrived back on our 2nd night stay at 21.25pm the kitchen about to close we asked if we could have room service pizza but was informed there was nothing available other than overpriced chocolate and crisps maybe they could offer pre done sandwiches or baguette for late arrivals as there’s nothing for miles

It feels airy , spacious and clean and the staff especially Curtis on reception , the northern barman of the evening and the breakfast lady manager all very pleasant and helpful
