Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Room excellent. Airport awful with all the updates which no one informed us about until the day we were due to fly. We will not use Birmingham until changes are implemented. Which means The Hilton garden inn and others on site will not be required.

Great hotel for a nights stay if you are getting into Birmingham airport late or catching an early flight. The hotel has everything you need on site, parking is very close. Spotlessly clean, the restaurant/bar provides decent but slightly expensive food & drink. Comfy beds, great staff. Recommended.

United KingdomI think the parking is over priced which I'm guessing isn't down to yourselves but even with a discount £30 for 2 days - wow!! I wouldn't expect it for free but even HI only charge £10 a day :-)
Really liked my room, with a view of the runway. Food was excellent, my colleague particularly liked the waffle maker! Overall, great staff, lovely welcome, easy access to NEC via the brilliant mono-rail so yes.

United KingdomThe room was a little noisy, especially the door was making noises. Also the door of the room was very heavy to open. The shower worked fine, but wasn't fitted properly which resulted in water being wasted.
Breakfast selection was good. Lots of options, tasty yoghurt, fruit, pastries and warm food for those who like it. Really easy access to NEC and train station. There is even a little shop with necessities and snacks if you need anything. The room itself was spacious, good wifi and a nice bathroom too.

RomaniaThat girl.
It’s the first choice as close as it gets to the airport. Lovely hotel with a good selection for breakfast. Everything was spot on with one exception: The customer service of a particular girl when we arrived at 13:30 on the 22nd of May. Smile more and be more gentle. All the best

United KingdomI was given a first floor room designed for disabled people. This was an issues for me as the bathroom sink was at my knee level, the shower area was restricted due to the chair, as its only a curtain, the whole floor was getting wet, the toilet had no lid on it, which is not very hygienic. The sink had a awful smell of drains, coming from it and the aircon unit regularly made a loud constant noise (even when switched off) which disturbed my sleep. When asked about moving rooms, as I was there for two nights, I was told I couldn't as it was fully booked. However, 10 mins earlier at check in, I was offered three types of room. When I said I prefered a room with a d/bed, but wasn't fussy, I obviously was given the worst room available. I asked if maintenance team would look at the air con (18.10pm) I was told no one was in work. now and they would look in the morning. They obviously didn't. Even on check out I asked for an Invoice, I was told I would have to get it from booking. com. Yet after spending valuable time looking online on how to obtain an invoice Booking. com told me I had to email the hotel I finally got a copy, which was needed for business purposes. No water in the room is also very disappointing. Stayed for two nights and carpark cost £118. Maybe not the fault of the hotel, but as I have no option to where I park, you would like to think it would be covered by the hotel or atleast given a discount.
Staff were friendly. Very clean room and hotel in general. Never seemed overly busy.
