The temperature of the bedroom and dining room. Radiators were on in the dining room when the temp was 20 outside. We had our windows open all night and were too hot

Uncomfortable and really squeaky bed!

Hands down the best scrambled egg I’ve ever had. Amazing location for getting straight onto the NCR 77 where I went for a run in the morning. Staff all very lovely and attentive. Very clean

Found the service consistently pretty poor and badly organised. Lovely staff but the organisation / management seems to be set up so nothing runs smoothly

Bit disappointed that there wasn't more in breakfast selection e.g fruit salad, cheeses, bread types. Corner where buffet was situated was a bit cramped . Would still love to return but room rates are a bit expensive.

The room was quite dark and looked into the quadrant in the middle of the hotel so we didn't have a view. Drinks were expensive as you would expect but there was also a service charge added even when bought from the bar? We did however query this and they removed the charges.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location with a lovely swimming pool / Spa. It's set in it's own grounds so quite a walk into town, but it's a beautiful walk along the river, The buffet breakfast was more than adequate and topped up regularly, so very fresh and hot. We had dinner from the Bar menu which was lovely and reasonably priced considering the surroundings. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The only disappointment was that the pool was being serviced during our stay, and there were no baby-friendly services available. However, due to our car trouble, we likely wouldn't have had the opportunity to use the facilities anyway. Otherwise, I couldn't fault the place. Normally, you might find a few things wrong or a scuff on the wall in a hotel, but this place was impeccably clean, tidy, and well-kept. I couldn't see anything wrong with it.

This place was great! Despite arriving late due to car issues, the staff checked us in promptly and were incredibly pleasant and helpful after our long day. They even accommodated our request to clean and sterilize a few baby bottles. Although we were disappointed to miss the restaurant's amazing-looking food, the staff kindly allowed us to order to our room outside the normal room service menu. The food was good, though the steak was slightly overdone for my liking.

Price is expensive for what you get at the hotel as some of the rooms are in need of refurbishment. Its a lot of money just for a bed for the night. So of planning to stay make sure you make the most of all your time there and get there for check in time in order to start enjoying all the time you have there.

Amazing setting and endless walks right at your doorstep. You are paying for the location more than anything else. Beautiful hotel in peaceful surroundings.

Not easy to get to from train station. Only 1 taxi in Dunkeld which was in Dundee. Had to walk for an hour with luggage.

Breakfast was poor…my husband went down at 930. There were very little cooked items left and they were not replenished. If you wanted a coffee such as a flat white etc you had to pay extra for it. Meal prices were expensive for what you got…drinks were also pricey and service was slow.

We revisited as we actually got married at the hotel here a year ago and absolutely love the hotel and location because of this. The hotel decor is luxurious and as we remembered it, makes it feel like a treat to come here as it is so nicely done. The outside space is beautiful and very peaceful. The lounge bar is relaxing and the pianist was a lovely touch. The spa is great but the jacuzzi wasn’t working. The rooms are really nice, a little small, but well equipped.

With my dinner i ordered a glass of the House Red. On arrival i thought it was very pale and on tasting it I felt it was watered down - but not being a coniseur and not one to complain I didnt say anything as couldn't possibly think it could be, so just left it on the side. Hopefully just a mistake.

On entry at the gates we were in aww, then after finally coming to the Hotel it was beautiful. The staff were great and so welcoming, and went out of their to ensure that we were comfortable. We ate in the bar, the food was lovely, the staff service was great. The beds were lovely, and everything was immaculate. After a very comfortable night, we went down for breakfast, and were sested in the conservatory. With the views down to the river it was lovely. The buffet breakfast was 1st class, everything cooked to perfection and all very tasty. The fresh croissants were a big hit with the bairns. The surroundings and pathways along the river were so picturesque, and we even spotting otters on the far side. Such a nice relaxing hotel and can't recommend it highy enough

Pool closed...information beforehand would have been helpful. We were looking forward to the pool. Mixed revew about food Good hotel but now lost that touch of luxury . Not sure it's value for the money we paid

Our waiter had little knowledge of what a coeliac diet was. He directed us to put the bread into an ordinary toaster used by everyone!

The location within its own estate was beautiful enabling you to take walks from the hotel The decor was very Scottish as expected

The dinner service and breakfast service were both poor. At dinner we had to ask for the wine to be opened and at breakfast we had to search out a member of staff to order our cooked breakfast.

I have stayed at Dunkeld House Hotel on and off for 30 years. It definitely is not as good as it was in its heyday. Before you felt as though you were being really looked after and felt you were a valued customer, now you feel as though you’re just a number.
