Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomI would have given this hotel full marks if it had not been for an unfortunate incident ..I ordered a 0 alcohol beer at the bar and noticed I felt very strange whilst drinking it . It then became very clear that the beer did infact contain alcohol and I had been served a gluten free beer rather than the zero beer I had ordered ..fortunately it is a preference for me to not drink alcohol as had this been an allergy or religious reason the consequences would have been serious ..I reported the incident and was not charged for the beer however i think that you need to be very aware so that staff can avoid a mistake like this in the future. I did not feel well after and it was only through some positive thinking and discussion with my partner which prevented it from ruining my evening.

United KingdomWe needed to check-in early and were advised to call on the morning of the stay to see if this was possible. During the phonecall I was told that we could check-in early for an additional £40. At no point in any previous emails/telephone calls had this been mentioned, nor was it stated anywhere that I could find on their website. Thankfully, upon arrival we were let in without any fuss.
Excellent air conditioning, very good sized room, lovely beds, really lovely breakfast selection (including gluten-free options), location perfect for our needs. They allowed us to check-in early as well [however, see below for more information].

United KingdomOur room had a shower over the bath, we should have requested a walk in shower as my husband is awaiting knee surgery. We paid £174 for one night plus parking at £30 on top. Would have been nice to have included breakfast.
Valet parking was a godsend, restaurant food lovely. Staff were polite friendly. Modern, clean hotel. The 20% off food voucher for the restaurant was helpful. Brilliant location.

Excellent location for shopping, and exploring the city. We room was a good size. Loved the refreshment facilities and the bathroom toiletries in the room. The bar area was comfortable with a good selection of drinks and snacks. The hotel common areas were nicely decorated
