Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel was a little tired in decor and needs updating and repairs to walls and carpet areas. There was only one lift working which created extra waiting time being on the 4th floor. The parking should have been free, given the amount we paid per night and the paid more for the upgrade.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site was excellent. The upgrade on our initial booking was good and included the executive lounge, which was an extra treat for us.

United KingdomAsking at reception the receptionist did not know the best was to get to the NEC. Food and drink a little expensive The route from the car park to the hotel entrance was quite tricky no obvious pedestrian route unless in the special needs car park.
Breakfast was brilliant, room spacious and clean, Good that there was so much parking and not bad at £15.

United KingdomThe noise the lift made. Especially as it seemed to be used day and night. Originally thought how handy it was we had the lift near . We did remark on it on checking out.
Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and different diets. It set us up well for the NEC

United KingdomCar park charges £14 a day on top of over £450 for 2 nights, have to pay extra to use the pool, on site bar extortionate, food average, only 1 elevator working at our side of hotel and it made horrific noises, rooms need looking at, air conditioning rattled loudly, toilet in our room wouldn’t flush reported it and engineer was quick but couldn’t fix and said day engineer team would come to fix.. never did… couldn’t sleep at night as only 2 doors away from elevator that made horrific noises 24 hours a day., had executive room but the benefits of this are starting to get worse, access gets earlier every year… this is to get you out of the executive lounge to spend money in their extortionate bar for the rest of the night, food served in executive lounge is also less and less every year, only 2 hot options now 1 meat and one vegetarian used to be so much on offer, no beer now either just lager… used to be such a good hotel but now taking the Micky with charging for as much as they possibly can on top of your room cost… will be starting to look elsewhere from now which is a shame…
Stayed here now for going on 12 years, twice a year, know the hotel, so is my go to for visiting NEC or was…

United KingdomHad a terrible nights sleep because of the planes going right over the hotel. Felt like you were sleeping on the runway. Stayed previously near by at another hotel and didn’t hear a thing
Changed to a wet room as my son had broken his leg which was very helpful. Large room. Kettle and tea and coffee but no biscuits. Breakfast gave a good choice of hot and cold food and drink

United KingdomOnly 2 staff covering a very very busy bar so service was very slow. Our room had a very unpleasant smell to it which was off putting… very clean but awful smell. We didn’t need to spend much time in it thank fully. We had a power cut on the Sunday morning which meant no lighting or electricity.

United KingdomThe sofa bed was not made up in the room, after 2 calls to reception they came to do it and it was broken so another bed was brought in which solved the problem but left little space in the room and meant 1 adult did not have use of a bedside table. I think a room change would have been a better option
