There was nothing I didn't like. If I had to critique, I would only say that the private path to the gate could have been better signed and pathed with gravel or paving stones.

The location was beautiful with views to a field. The enclosed garden was perfect for my dog and me! We sat in the garden in the dappled shade one afternoon and just relaxed. The space was clean and perfectly matched the photos and description.

We thought toiletries were provided but only had hand soap. Access is gained by walking past the main house and across grass, a path would be helpful .

It is quiet with a beautiful view. The hut is comfortable and has everything you need for a short stay. The owners are delightful and welcoming.

Door locks when you are inside but not from the outside when you want to go out. Didn't leave are valuables just in case. Make sure you let them know you have a dog.

Small cosy place. We'll thought out space. Stayed for 2 days. Comfortable bed. If you like quiet it's excellent.

Another chair would be helpful, possibly where the fold up table is and the table could then be out when needed.

We had a lovely stay at Highkettle Hut, beautifully presented to a high standard with a welcome package on arrival. The shower was hot and powerful with large thick fluffy towels which was a bonus after a hot day. Ian was the perfect host. Easy access for visiting various sites and a lovely local pub with good food and friendly service. Overall we had an amazing weekend and would definitely return.

Rural location is great & peaceful but country roads were not ideal for walking so needed to drive few mins to find safer places to walk dog

Great little hut, has everything you need & garden is perfect for chilling with pet dog. Owners friendly & kind to supply milk & crisps & shower gel.

Maybe a third set of cutlery and crockery in case of visitors, but that is such a minor point!

I had an excellent stay. The hut is charming, clean, comfortable and totally private. I loved watching the cows drifting across the far field ready for early morning milking, and the pheasant that wandered past in the field every evening.

Kitchen was adequate but did lack useful quantities of cutlery and crockery. Also, missing were glass tumblers and some other utensils like a sharp chopping knife, mixing bowls and egg cups! The only other small inconvenience was the instant water heater. Once working was brilliant and water was hot....however, you can only use one item at a time! Crawling under the sink to reboot it was quite annoying and it did seem to trip on a rather regular basis! The only.other small observation was the hut was a bit dusty with cobwebs.

Highkettle Hut was in a secluded private garden and was lovely and quiet. Close to main trunk roads for easy access to local places of interest. The bed was very comfy and when it was warm, it was well ventilated. The TV had Netflix & Amazon Prime, and had a good picture. The WiFi connection was excellent too! Shower facilities were good! Water pressure very good too...with plenty instant hot water. Nice area in the garden to sit and eat when weather permits.

Absolutely Fantastic place and will definitely book again. Clean and comfortable and everything we needed for our weekend break. Lovely private courtyard garden area perfect for our Dog. We loved it but a previous visitor had stolen the food preparation knives and I didn’t think to tell the owner until we left. He was horrified, of course. Why do people do that?!

The Highkettle Hut is beautifully situated with a private garden. It’s warm and cosy with a very comfortable bed and a shower that is easy to operate!

The bed was a bit uncomfortable. Not easy to get out of.bed if you were by the window but this was shown at the time of booking.

Lovely quirky place to stay. Great for our dog with enclosed space. Really enjoyed staying at highkettle.small but perfect for a couple of days Nice clean , great shower friendly would definitely recommend

Great location, beautifully decorated-there was everything you needed for our short stay. It was very comfortable and clean. The view in the morning across the field was stunning. The owner was very welcoming and friendly but you also had a nice private garden and lovely welcome pack. It was just perfect for our couple of nights away to attend a wedding.
