An old traditional seaside hotel, but in need of some updating, considering the price charged.

We stayed in room 32, which was fairly small (obviously half of an older, larger room that had been divided into two rooms at some point), and there was a very small (Juliet style) balcony outside our window and the window of the adjoining room. Only access was by climbing out of the old sash window, which we never attempted as the space is too small to sit out. The adjoining room appeared to be used by staff members from time to time, and the dividing wall is very thin, so it was quite noisy at times. The worst thing was having a member of staff climbing out of the window next door, and standing outside our window on two occasions! This is not something I would expect, especially being three floors up, and shows a complete disregard for customer privacy! The mattress was quite soft and bouncy , and the pillows were too firm, so we did not sleep particularly well.

Lovely old historic building with lovely views over the bay, and beyond. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The TV was a bit old fashioned and needed to auto tune every time switching it on. Parking space a little narrow, but managed to park off road.

The room that we stayed had a spectacular view of the seaside. The bed was comfortable and the location of the hotel was very close to local shops and the beach. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious.

The rooms could do with a little updating and the beds are very tired and old. The pillows were very hard!

The facilities and decor were a little dated and worse for wear.

The views from the room were stunning and the location was great - just round the corner from the cable car station, and close to the seafront and town centre. Parking available at the hotel and on the road in front too.

I'm not a fan of breakfasts where you have to help yourself to coffee/tea from a machine, but that's a minor matter when the staff are so helpful

Our room on the third floor had amazing views, across to Snowdonia in one direction and towards the beach in the other. Quite a hike up three flights of stairs, so when you book make sure you can manage stairs! The duty manager was exceptionally helpful, sorting out a couple of problems with our room very quickly whilst also dealing with new arrivals. He was always on hand to sort out a parking space for us. Lovely looking at all the old prints and phootgraphs of Llandudno on our way up the stairs

Bed very firm and a larger quilt would have been more suitable for the size of bed

Good location close to centre pier/promenade great orme ,great views high upon the hill but maybe not suitable if mobility is a issue. Good breakfast parking on site and at front of hotel.

Myself and my partner didn’t find our bed comfortable, but our family members in another 2 rooms had no issues so perhaps we got unlucky. Bathroom was a little dated but everything worked. Breakfast was good quality, but on the second day they had run out of a few things. Parking is limited to 5 spaces on the drive (with 3 cars having to be blocked in) and 2 around the back plus any free spaces on the road (which is steep), but the staff keep an eye on it and managed it well when we were there.

Loved the views of Llandudno from our room - worth playing for a sea view room in my opinion. The staff are good and hardworking and breakfast was tasty. Nice views from the breakfast room too, WiFi was fine and I loved the old creaking staircase, although climbing it after walking up the hill to Headlands took some effort!

The parking is a big issue, first come first served not that good, didn't like me parking round the back, even though I'm a paying guest, that annoyed me a little.. The room could do with a bigger mirror on the wall, shower cubical a little cramped.

Liked the location for the views, the Breakfast was good, we also liked the actual building..

Very creaky stairs and a rattle from the bedroom window but it's to be expected from the age of the property.

Great views over the bay and the front, breakfast set us up for the day including a sausage for the dog.

Parking is an issue, there just isn't enough of it. The hotel is at the top of a steep hill so can be problematic for anyone with health or mobility issues. Also, the king-size bed was two singles pushed together. One of which was in poor condition. A sleepless night and a pinched nerve meant we only stayed one out of the two nights booked and paid for. Due to the age of the hotel the stairs are very noisy and creaky.

Alex (?) Front of house staff was wonderful. Very helpful and welcoming. The view from our room was amazing. We have stayed before and requested the same room because of the fantastic views. The breakfast is one of the best we have had. Nuclear hot plates so mind your fingers! A quirky property with lots of character.

Room beautiful but bottom of bed bit dirty. Valances would cover it. We prefer hard mattresses too soft. But neighbours said there was opposite. So if you ask before I'm sure they could accommodate.

Location. Highest point. Round back of hotel nature walk. Beautiful
