We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Turned up a few hours early, parking was not a problem. After check out i asked if it was possible to park for a few hours to do a ferry trip on lake Windermere, not a problem. Room was spotless, breakfast was well cooked and tasty. If in the area would definitely use Hawksmoor again

It is a very nice guest house and very clean. The location is also very good. The only downside to our stay was difficulty maintaining connection to the internet with the provided wifi. If that gets improved, the place will be almost perfect!

The property is ideally positioned between Windermere and bowness,only a short walk to either. Bedrooms and bathrooms are everything you could ask for, no complaints whatsoever. We had room 14 which had a balcony overlooking a stream and wooded area which was ideal to lounge in the seating provided on return to the room late afternoon. Breakfast was plentiful and we were well served by attentive staff. Good parking area👍 Lovely 3 night stay, thankyou so much.

The shower is a hand held difficult when needing to wash hair etc. would have preferred a stand up or walk in shower. Not really an issue but the bathroom decor was abit unusual and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel decor. (Room 9)
Staff and the breakfast lovely, nice clean room with tea and coffee available in the room! Good location for the price! Nice complimentary bathroom products to use.

United KingdomNothing much to dislike. Breakfast could maybe be offered until a little later but appreciate that staff are busy in the morning. The room we had was right next to the breakfast room which was fine but worth noting it can be a little noisy in the morning for light sleepers.
We were given a very pleasant welcome from Pamela (?) who let us check in a little early and offered us hot drinks and tasty home made biscuits. The room had everything as described in working order and looked recently decorated and quite luxurious. There was a large bath and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was very tasty and were offered pretty much whatever we wanted. The location was far enough away from the main towns that it was quiet but a short walk from the busy areas.
