We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The room at Havenwood is spacious, comfortable and the bathroom is out of this world with a bath big enough for two people and a shower that feels like a waterfall. The hosts, Margaret and Bryce, are a lovely, welcoming and friendly couple who will go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. It's well worth a stroll down the road the house is on, as there are spectacular views over the glen and some beautiful flowers and forest to admire. Breakfast was superb! Oh, and if Bryce offers to help out parking on the drive I'd take him up on the offer, there's definitely a knack to it!

What a fabulous stay with Margaret and Bryce as our hosts. Nothing was too much trouble - always with a warm welcome, a hug and a good cup of tea! Bed was comfy, bath and shower were excellent with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was a feast - could not fault a thing. Both are caring and considerate that this is your holiday break - but are full of recommendations for places to eat. visit etc should you need it. They welcome you as strangers and you leave as friends.

Absolutely brilliant!! Margaret and Brice and two of the nicest genuine people you will ever meet. The room was amazing, clean and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. The food was on another level. My wife and I travelled up on a motorcycle and booked here as it looked out of the way of the nearest town (Ayr) so my bike would be secure, but as soon as they realised we were on a motorcycle they kindly cleared space in the garage so I could park it in there which put my mind at rest immediately. The location of the house is on a small private estate nestled in a wooded area and is stunning. I can't recommend Havenwood enough, if you are even remotely interested in this part of Scotland then definitely book here, you won't regret it.

Havenwood is exactly the haven the name would suggest! A beautiful and extremely comfortable room in an incredibly peaceful location, with a fabulous breakfast. Margaret and Bryce could not have been warmer or better hosts- I stayed for a couple of nights, for my wedding at a local venue with no accommodation on-site, and they went out of their way to accommodate everything this entailed - including a veritable army of people coming through for hair/makeup/flowers/cakes/photos and Margaret even helped my MOH with pressing her dress! There are not enough words to say how wondeful our stay was and we can't recommend a stay here highly enough.

Facilities were excellent, Margaret and Brynn were great hosts and made me most welcome. Breakfasts and evening meals were great. The location is relaxing and tranquil with bus transport only a 20 min walk away, although care must be taken on the country road. I would not hesitate to recommend Havenwood to anyone.

We were attending a wedding nearby and they both dropped us off and picked us up at the wedding so we didn't need to get a taxi. The room was fantastic with a very comfy bed and fantastic bath.
