This is a fabulous property and the host’s Mark & Amanda deliver a first class, informative & warmly welcoming service. The cottage is superbly located for all walking & hiking; public transport; and a short walk to all of Ambleside’s sights, pubs and restaurants. The Balcony Room is quite special. Roomy. Comfortable. Spotless. Superb furnishing and facilities and a charming balcony to enjoy the sunset over the fell. Breakfast is healthy, fresh, plentiful; and a tribute to local produce. Afternoon cake is also a treat. You will not want for anything at Haven Cottage and it is easy to recommend.

A very warm welcome by Amanda, the hosts where very helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious and also the afternoon treats was a nice little touch. Very close to local amenities.

Excellent guest house. Mark and Amanda were very friendly and offered suggestions for walks which I personally greatly appreciated. The food was excellent with very fresh ingredients each day. Location brilliant if you don’t have own transport with bus right at door plus cottage only a stones through from the centre of town

Great welcome by Amanda and we liked how clean and spacious our room was. It is very close to Ambleside centre so a short walk was really good. The breakfast on both days was fantastic and set us up for the day. Lots of choice and fresh !

Parking is a little tight but manageable.

Haven Cottage is an amazing place to stay. The owners Amanda and Mark make you feel very welcome. Their love for running a B&B and indulging guests is felt in every detail, from the furnishing and decoration of the rooms to the delicious breakfast. Mark gave us some very useful recommendations to explore the beautiful surroundings. Amanda's afternoon cakes are superb. EV-charger at private parking worked very well. It felt like 'Heaven' in Haven Cottage.

The room was beautiful, so light and airy and very peaceful. The weather wasn’t the best when we were there so we opted to stay in on the evening and it was a pleasure! Everything was immaculate and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was a treat, really I couldn’t fault a single thing!
