Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainNothing not to like
This place is an absolute Gem. Theresa and Vinnie are lovely. You get a warm welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and they are easy going . My room was large and the bed was so comfortable. I have never slept better away from home. Breakfast is laid out for you in the morning and is plentiful. The bathrooms are clean and spacious with a great soaker shower and 2 baths. Private parking is available on site and the location is peaceful . Free WiFi is available and there is even a pool in the garden. It is a truly wonderful place to stay and I will definitely return.

United KingdomRoom and clothes draw were dusty. Someone had had a biscuit and the crumbs were still on the side, in the room. I could write my name on one of the bedside cabinets, in the dust. Breakfast was a let down. It was plastic ham and cheese slices for Continental breakfast, which I hadn't realised it was going to be. 4 different cereals but had not been cleared up from the day before from dropped ones and crumbs on the floor, from previous days breakfast. There was spilt orange juice on the wipeable table clothe, on one table and I had to swap a cereal bowl, as it had dried food on it, from not being washed up properly. What I call, plastic bread, for toasting and plastic wrapped croissants, that run out in the year 3030. I have photos to back up, what I have written.
Spacious lovely room. Great facilities with a lovely pool, that I took advantage of. Very friendly and helpful, when I got a take away.

United KingdomThe only downside I had was that the pool had closed (end of Summer) but was told by Teresa that I could still go in but that it wouldn’t be heated.
After a haphazard year I took it upon myself to have two days away by myself for some headspace. This place was ideally what I needed where I could enjoy peace and the lovely delights of Selsey. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive.

Belgiumbreakfast = DIY... Coffee=instant coffee, teabags available. ham or cheese were available in the fridge. Not displayed on a plate. Bread in England seems to be of very poor quality. Here it was to be found in a plastic wrapping near the toaster... The matress was far too soft, and surely ready to be replaced. This is a general flaw in a lot of B&B's in England (one would think the English like a back ache in the morning...) Bathroom is/are shared .
breakfast : was available. There was a swimming pool, which we did not use. The owners were friendly but rather effortless...

United KingdomNothing. I actually felt like crying when we had to leave!
Absolute gem of a place. Everything was perfect. Lovely, lovely hosts! Vince and Theresa were very helpful, really friendly but onobtrusive, and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely continental breakfast, really pretty and comfortable room. We had the Lilac Room, apparently the smallest of the 3, but was more than spacious enough for my daughter and myself. The garden was gorgeous and the pool and pool area just like the pictures. Definitely a place we will be excited to stay at again. Sitting in the garden in the evening listening to gentle music with the fairy lights lit was magical. You can take a takeaway in to eat and we were offered the use of the microwave to heat meals in. Walking distance to beach and the excellent Lifeboat Inn via a pretty park with a pond and along the shore a bit. Good takeaways and a super bakery on the next road. Loads and loads of lovely things to do in the area. Would highly recommend the boat tour around Chichester Harbour, the canal cruise in Chichester itself and a visit to Arundel and the castle. We hopped on the Hovercraft to the Isle of Wight too which was an amazing day. Portsmouth itself is lovely, and the Gunwharf Quays and Spinnaker Tower was great. Honestly, my daughter and I had a fabulous time and can't fault it. Perfect!
