No hotel parking although reduced price at NCP not far away. Nevertheless, still cost £35 for 2 days.

Ground floor Queen room (#125). Very convenient. Good quality, plentiful hot buffet breakfast, if a little limited for choice e.g. no mushrooms, hash browns or fried eggs. Better choices for continental breakfast.

Hotel very clean and comfortable. Staff were very welcoming from the minute we walked in to the lovely lady cleaning our room. Breakfast was amazing. The anniversary card in our room was a lovely touch.

The air conditioner didn't work, we were hot all night and yes we followed the directions on how to use the thermostat.. The reception staff definitely did not make us feel welcome we were just more guests to process through as quickly as possible and move on. No smiles. Worst part was, we chose the facility at double the price of a spectacular room across the street because the add on Booking said "Parking Available" and the other said limited parking so we would have been taking a chance. Truth is, they have parking available but it's down the hill and you have to haul your luggage through the parking garage and up the hill and you have to pay nicely for overnight parking....oh they get you a discount, but it's only a couple dollars/pounds. Don't advertise parking is available if it's not really available. Or make sure it specifies PAID parking available at the very least.

Hallway on ground floor had a damp, musty, wet carpet smell but no obvious sign of where it was coming from. Smell did not go in to the rooms so once inside it was fine. Carpets looked clean but when picking something off the floor there was alot of dust and fluff etc which should have been picked up easily by a decent vacuum. Also noticed some dried blood on one of the curtains the following morning when opening them (reported to reception who said they would get it seen to immediately).

Good location, easy walk to all main visitor attractions and sites. Easy check in and check out and nice breakfast with lots of options available. Family room was large enough. Good soundproofing, clean bathroom.

Buffet style breakfast could have been better and warmer. Breakfast area was full and very busy, we had to carry breakfast tray to the bar area in order to find a seat (but not too much of a problem).

Hotel fairly close to railway station and city centre about a10 minute walk away. Double / twin room comfortable and quiet. Tea and coffee making facilities were available in room as was bathroom products. Room quite spacious for two people and also featured dressing table, chair and a sofa bed. Hotel and room very clean and tidy. Staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Breakfast could have had a few more choices.

Location -- once we figured out how to walk from the train station, which was only about 3 blocks away-- was good. Very nice walk to major attractions (about 6-7 block walk to York Minster) and lots of restaurants nearby en route. Quiet location, nice looking room, breakfast was fairly good.

It didn't seem the room we was in had been cleaned properly when I got out the shower and was walking on the carpet long black hair stuck to my feet These was not my hair we also had long black hair and pube hair still in the shower 🤮 also the bed was noisy, very noisy we even thought about sleeping on the floor. Also my parnter ate the sausages for breakfast and both days had a bad stomach we are unsure if it was the sausage but could be and they had powdered eggs for the amount of money I was expecting real eggs at breakfast.

It was really close to the center of York the staff at reception was very good
