Breakfast would of been lovely but it's nit hot enough atall. Sausages needed some kind of colour as looked raw. Dishes with breakfast hot food look awfull. Hotel and grounds are stunning. Room.was gorgous,but view of outside bins and staff smoking was horrible.. Expected z bit more of something outside our window. Clean room and facilities nice.

Location . But unfortunately riad works outside. So be aware it's an eight mile trip round to get to hotel. Very annoying . It is too far to walk,don't believe anyone, who says it's twenty minutes into town.

Hotel nice place - but struggled either way my health as roomalong way from reception/ bar snd restaurant

Good breakfast but the evening menu is limited, expensive and poorly cooked.

When I arrived to stay for 2 nights I was allocated a room with no opening windows that was stuffy and overlooked the rubbish bins. I complained and though as the hotel was full I was given a much better room with opening windows and a lovely view the next night. Thank you to Beth on reception.

Extensive roadworks were a pain but not the fault of the hotel. Long yomp roud to the apartment from the main hotel. Huge potholes in apartment car park access road.

Excellent spa even though some elements weren't working (e.g. jacuzzi). Apartment was excellent. Very quiet. Beautiful location. Food was excellent.

Hotel a little out of the way. There were road closures and the diversion added fair bit of time to the journey. Some shabbiness inside the building but did not impact the stay at all.

Amazing breakfast, comfortable bed. The Spa is wonderful, good facilities and not overcrowded at all. Overall felt good value.

The reception staff were a bit lacking on arrival but much nicer on departure.

Great location. Lovely setting. Very comfortable bed. They had decaf coffee and tea in the room. Nice spa facilities too.

Food was over priced unfortunately my Fish and Chips was not the best either. this is my only complaint of the hotel.

This is an old stately building with age related decor, very photo genic building.

Was in room 329 wasn't happy with the bathroom paint peeling off bath and when having shower water wouldn't go down plug. Couldn't use the toilet in the room as it wouldn't flush properly. Mattress had no protector on them and Mattresses was stained yellow as was the duvet inside cover. Beds wasn't zipped together properly and that caused a big dip when trying to sleep. We only had one milk and one biscuit for a couple

The spa facilities were a big let down. The ladies changing rooms were a mess on arrival and as I left. In the spa area it was also not very clean plastic cups were all over the floor, wrappers in the rooms and overall wasn’t kept clean. I would expect for the price that the facilities would be extremely clean. This is the only thing that let us down and would be extremely disappointed if we booked this hotel just for the spa

The staff were so amazing when we arrived the lady and gentleman on reception were so friendly and welcoming. The room was nice and the breakfast was also nice.

It’s abit dated but it is a huge place to keep up to date.

We stayed In a suite which was perfect for 3 adults. I’d also asked for ground floor and they sorted that. Evening meal and breakfast was nice.. a big choice. Plenty of parking.

There was a mix up with my room upon arrival which was quickly rectified and i was upgraded which was great, however my upgraded room had a considerable leak and it appeared it had not been in use for some time as the room was very cold and struggled to get any heat in to it in my short stay.

Interesting location, Nice atmosphere, Pretty grounds, food was tasty, The spa is well equipped.

Room was a little tired, toilet had an insufficient flush. Bar had run out of crisps :-( Bar very busy as wedding going on.

Overall happy with our stay. Good location, good breakfast. Spa good.

We had a family room with two TVs but neither of them worked correctly. The room was a little dusty. Booked in for 50 minute massage which wasn’t 50 minutes and not the best massage.

Absolutely beautiful grounds. Gorgeous old hotel. Food was very good. Lovely room.

The receptionist at the Spa not very friendly, almost with the attitude, when asked for towels by a hotel guest (us) vs a member. Also, misguided on the opening hours, it closes at 9, not at 8...wanted to go home early? ;)
