The city of Bath is definitely worth a visit and staying with Richard was a wonderful experience. A beautiful house very well located a wal Distance or by bus to city center. Thank you Richard for the warm hospitality, perfect breakfast and shared knowledge of the house, Bath and all. It was a wonderful experience.

Didn't realise the room was not en-suite but our bathroom was just a few steps away, so for one night it was not too much of a problem.

Richard was an excellent host and we enjoyed chatting to him about the history of the house. The room was delightful and comfortable. Breakfast the next day was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return.

The location was perfect! Close to restaurants and shopping. The staff was friendly. The room was five star. Nothing was lacking. We would definitely stay again.

The Grosvenor Villa is a beautiful, historic place with plenty of charm. Richard, the host, was informative and accommodating. We stayed in a large room with a comfortable king bed. The host provided snacks, tea, and water in our room. We had to head downstairs to the bathroom, but we had it all to ourselves and it was spacious and clean with a tub and a walk-in shower. Richard shared interesting stories with us about the history of the house. The house is gated, but the surrounding area is safe. We took the bus into the town center but could have taken a scenic walk there as well. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. Richard provided many options and even brought more food to us using a dumbwaiter. The food was not only plentiful, but delicious.

I/we like the walk after breakfast.., but maybe a bit long to Bath centre. Bus and Taxi are just nearby...so..

All-in-All very Nice. The owner was very helpfull and assisted anyway he could. Loved the morning gathering at the breakfast table with people from around the world.. Brilliant...wonderful atmosphere..

One bit of feedback would be to have net curtains on the ground floor bedroom. I didn't always want the curtains shut as they blocked light and air, but did want privacy... net curtains would fix that.

Grosvenor villa was just beautiful! What an entrance into the building. We were welcomed in by Richard and felt right at home. Richard was an amazing host. He was very friendly, witty, and entertaining. Richard was full of knowledge and suggested lots of things to do in and around Bath. The hotel was well located, just a lovely 20-minute walk along the canal into the city. Our room was perfect, with a very grand bed which was very comfortable and i had a great night sleep. The room was clean and had good amenities, including complimentary bottled spring water and wine. The bathroom was big and very clean. Breakfast was an experience, you are sat around a large table in a very grand dining room. We got the chance to meet and chat with interesting people from all over the world, and Richard was great morning entertainment. He put a huge smile on all our faces, which gave us a great start to the day. We were very happy with our stay at Grosvenor Villa and would highly recommend it, and we would definitely stay again!.

There is no elevator and we had heavy bags to lug up to flights of stairs

That we weren't able to stay longer!

First of all, it's stunningly gorgeous. Richard was exceptionly kind, attentive and helpful. I have cancer and arrived feeling weak. He arranged for me to geta room early so I could rest.
