Honestly couldn't fault anything

We stayed for one night as our heating was broken in our house, we booked this local hotel thinking it would jus be average at best. What a surprise...the room was amazing and really cosy, it completely exceeded expectations! The bathroom was also really nice and had a great bath/ shower. We are so glad to have found this hidden gem and will definitely be recommending it to any visiting family/ friends. We didn't have a chance to eat in the pub/ restaurant bit it also looked great.

I didn't take breakfast but my wife says it was "good". Dinner in the evening was limited to the pub food on offer, which was not bad but limited in scope if staying more than a couple of nights.

The light is either yellow or dim and to apply make up it's not the best but hey let's go make up free next time ;-)

As a female solo traveller in an unfamiliar area, I felt welcomed and safe. Quick check in. Easy access to the room after hours. Comfortable bedroom and bed. Facilities: iron + iron board and hairdryer. Clean and amazing shower. Nice breakfast. Kind and helpful staff.

Could not fault this hotel, even that it wasn't our 1st choice as the one we had booked cancelled with very little notice. The staff are great can't do enough for you. Wished we had book in the 1st place!!

Entrance exit to car park could have been better sign posted for first timers.

Excellent service in a very busy bar, the beer was well served by Sean and I was well looked after by Brooke in the restaurant. Loved the little dog who kept looking around the corner by reception at breakfast time. Very good breakfast.

Staff were friendly. The room was very clean and well equipped with homemade biscuits and a basket of snacks along with tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was large and comfy and the bed linen was lovely and crisp. Nice shower with complimentary shampoo, bodywash etc. I also liked that the bath towel was larger than in some hotels where they are often on the small side. Ample parking too.

Some pillows and the throw blanket had dog fur on them. There could have been more vegetarian options for breakfast though. Overall, it was a good stay.

one concern was the late night activity in the car park, which seemed a bit rowdy and worrying if you were parking your car there and there were several empty bottles about the car park the next morning.

Really comfortable clean room, the food in the restaurant was very good quality, the bar is very cosy with a warm welcoming atmosphere, all the staff were amazing and helpful, we had a very relaxing stay.
