Could not fault this hotel, even that it wasn't our 1st choice as the one we had booked cancelled with very little notice. The staff are great can't do enough for you. Wished we had book in the 1st place!!

Entrance exit to car park could have been better sign posted for first timers.

Excellent service in a very busy bar, the beer was well served by Sean and I was well looked after by Brooke in the restaurant. Loved the little dog who kept looking around the corner by reception at breakfast time. Very good breakfast.

Staff were friendly. The room was very clean and well equipped with homemade biscuits and a basket of snacks along with tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was large and comfy and the bed linen was lovely and crisp. Nice shower with complimentary shampoo, bodywash etc. I also liked that the bath towel was larger than in some hotels where they are often on the small side. Ample parking too.

Some pillows and the throw blanket had dog fur on them. There could have been more vegetarian options for breakfast though. Overall, it was a good stay.

one concern was the late night activity in the car park, which seemed a bit rowdy and worrying if you were parking your car there and there were several empty bottles about the car park the next morning.

Really comfortable clean room, the food in the restaurant was very good quality, the bar is very cosy with a warm welcoming atmosphere, all the staff were amazing and helpful, we had a very relaxing stay.

Lovely staff, nice and clean rooms and bathroom. Breakfast was lovely and nice location, they were accomodating as we arrived on a 7am flight and our room was ready to check in earlier than normal which was amazing. They have no elevator but our suitcases were in our room when we came back for check in. So lovely.

There was a slight damp smell in room 205 due to some previous water leak damage but this didn't interrupt my stay. Disappointingly there was other people's hair on the upholstery cushions and also the bed. More careful housekeeping can easily fix that but overall the room was clean. This oversight wouldn't put me off booking here again and I would still recommend it.

The location was perfect for a homely stay close to London but with the benefit of feeling like an escape away from the big city. Free parking and a quick and easy walk to the High Street was a major bonus. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I loved the walk-in shower and bathroom decor with luxury toiletries.
