Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Amazing location with beautiful views. Nice and cozy for couples. Many attractions near such as caves, waterfalls and good hiking trails. Would definitely recommend.

New ZealandThis refers to Cabin No.8 - Small but functional - could have been cleaner (oven needed a deep clean, internal microwave coating was bubbling, cobwebs and dust in many places). Location not as quiet as expected due to road and railway line but not horrendous by any means. No privacy whilst using hot tub. Stretching it somewhat to label this as luxury accommodation.
Location was great for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and views were fantastic. Site warden was helpful and cheerful. Hot tub was useful to ease the aches and pains after a days walking.

United KingdomWhen arriving the lodge smelt like old cigarettes. There were a lot of dead bugs around the floor also questionable stains on floor and walls. Also found empty beer cans with in the rooms on a shelf when we arrived making me feel it hadn’t be cleaned. The lodges themselves felt unclean.

United KingdomThe property has a lack of utensils for a self catering property meant to accommodate 4. Such as only 4 knife and forks, 4 glasses, and 1 baking tray. Meant the dish washer (with no tablets) had to be constantly on. The postcode for the site is also incorrect and we required directions from the caravan site it actually sends you to.
The host was very approachable and friendly with comfortable beds. The hot tub and gated community with stunning views were lovely.

United KingdomThe property wasn’t as clean as we would have liked cobwebs over windows and dusty inside shower was not clean and we had no hot water for most of our stay, it was a good job we had he hot tub. sofa was really uncomfortable. properties ne d some form of sun shade over hot tub not everyone likes to sit in full sun. we bought our own parasol for his purpose.
property was in a very scenic spot with great views of the countryside.

United KingdomWe left immediately after arriving due to the lack of cleanliness and disrepair of the lodge. This was falsely advertised as “luxury” with a broken sofa bed, dead flies and dirt throughout the property, hairs in the bed and shower, stained bedding and mattress. We tried to contact the host several times and still had no correspondence. Really disappointed and a waste of a 6 hour round trip. The lodge was uncomfortable, the mattress and sofa bed were “knackered” and no cushion. There was also an awful smell!
Tony who was there to greet us on arrival was welcoming and helpful.

United KingdomNot a luxury lodge as advertised. Tatty curtains, loo seats that slid sideways!! No dishwasher and the spare beds were very uncomfortable and narrow.(I have to sleep in a separate bed because my husband has Parkinson’s and keeps me awake. )
