Just a bit unhappy about the formality - contract to sign and a damage deposit. Never come across this before in any self-catering visits in UK, Austria and Germany

Paying a deposit. We would have readily paid for any damage done.

The property had everything you needed. It was really clean and very cosy. We had an issue with the heating when we arrived which was sorted immediately, very good customer service.

Good location, nice and quiet and with parking. Comfortable house with decent size bedrooms. Well equipped.

The sofa’s were uncomfortable, but could be resolved by replacing the cushions. There was no table in the living room, for drinks, games etc. Blind in front bedroom didn’t close, which meant sun streamed in very early. I had to change bedrooms with my friend. She was in the back room and has a bad back. The mattress is very thin and not suitable for the type of bed it is on or for anyone with back issues. Neighbours gave the impression they are not fond of “holiday types.” I can overlook that as I’m from the dales, and we can be a very protective of our county. 😄

Beautiful location, 15 min walk into Grassington. Sun trap patio garden, and a sweet outdoor “shed” with lovely seating. The cottage was immaculate, and lovely finishing touches.

The sofas not up to standard of other furniture. Nothing to do with the cottage bur Grassington village was a little bit disappointing.Same old gift shops as thousands of other villages. 3 pubs in village and only the lovely Black Horse worth a visit.

The cottage was lovely with all the facilities you need for a stay.Location outside village was fine for us.Waking to hear sheep and cows nearby in the morning.

Back bedroom blinds didn't close completely so difficult for 6yr old to go to sleep as too light in the room.

Parking. Not really a 2 vehicle parking area and as soon as we arrived we had a nosy neighbour jumped out on us to tell us what we could and couldn't do. Got the impression that the neighbours did not appreciate a holiday cottage in their midst.

"Grassington Cottage" is neither a cottage nor in Grassington. It is in Threshfield. You don't get to find out the address until you have booked and paid so we feel slightly misled. I agree with others that the front bed is very creaky and rather uncomfortable. No lock on bathroom.

Beautifully clean on arrival. Lovely kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen has everything you need. Bottle of milk in fridge.

Parking arrangements a bit tricky. Arrangements for signing T&Cs bureaucratic Minor things: 1. Door sticks Bedroom 2 2. Towel rail doesn’t heat 3. No lock on bathroom door

Sofas weren't very comfy and a bit irratable on skin. Matress in front bedroom isn't suitable or comfortable for anyone over 12 stone in weight,only about 8 inches thick,ok for kids etc or skinny adults. Kitchen was good but could do with a larger frying pan or Wok for larger meals for 2 or more people.

We liked the location and staff,nice clean fresh towels and plenty of them.

Grassington Cottage is not described accurately. It is a mid-terrace property in Threshfield not a semi-detached house in Grassington. This is relevant as we could hear the neighbours talking in one of the attached properties. On arrival we had to flush the toilet as it wasn’t clean. The floors in each room were not clean. There were crumbs in the sitting room and kitchen. The cooker was not clean. There were large cobwebs in both bedrooms. The booking fee includes £90 for cleaning. The house did not seem to have been cleaned prior to our visit. There was no hot water initially and the heating went off shortly after our arrival. Communication with Sharon {via text} was laboured. Eventually I worked out that the water was not on at the boiler and the thermostat was very low for the heating. Once I informed Sharon that this was the case I received an email via Booking.com from ‘Dave’ just after midnight. The tone of the message was unpleasant as it informed us that if we used too much energy they could reduce the repayment of the Security/Damage deposit that we had paid (£250}. They didn’t. The comfort of the second bed and second settee have been mentioned in other reviews. I agree that the mattress is rather thin and the settee very uncomfortable. A misleading Booking.com property.

There was nothing we didn't like about this property.

A well equipped house, excellently located in a quiet cul de sac, within easy reach of public footpaths. A short distance from shops and amenities with a good choice of eating establishments. Off street parking available.
