Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomReception team were very giggly and unprofessional. There was lots of side talk in another language when I had 30 seconds difficulty with the iPad check in. My room was on the ground floor, street level with a huge unlockable window which made me uncomfortable. I went back to reception to ask for an alternative and again, rude, laughing, eye rolling. I did get another room but difficult not to be put off by the staff reaction. I didn’t plan to stay in this hotel and wouldn’t visit again.
Emergency booking at this hotel after another chain hotel overbooked and cancelled my room at 9.30pm. It’s very well presented externally and room was large for London and comfortable.

JerseyOur room (403) on the top floor was small but that is fine for a short stay, As mentioned on departure and not something you would expect even management to be aware of unless comments have been made was the bathroom layout. It was very difficult to sit on the toilet due to a lack leg room, if only the designer had turned it 90 degrees there would be no problem.
We arrived very early which was no issue to reception we were able to check in and get all the paperwork done but pick up room keys later which is what we expected. The staff throughout were very polite and helpful a credit to the hotel. Our room was very clean as were all the communal areas. The hotel really could not be better positioned as far enough out of town to provide for a quiet night but close enough to only be a 20 minute walk from the West End shows and shopping areas.

SpainThe staff were not very welcoming. I was served sparkling water without a glass and when I asked for a glass with ice and lemon I was given a pint glass!!! Not 4 star. There was no air con in the room and it was too small to open two suitcases on the floor area. The lounge toilets when we arrived at midday were not clean and after returning to the lounge at 10pm they were even worse. The sofas in the lounge were very grubby. I don’t understand how they have achieved a 4 star rating.
The location was fantastic. A very short walk to Oxford Street.

United KingdomThe room we were given was tiny so I ask if we were able to change it as we were there for 2 nights. The hotel is in a conservation area so understandably the rooms are not huge for an older building, but the room was exceptionally small. The girl I spoke to was very helpful and did give us a better room. The bed however was still very small and the tea making facilities were in the way of the bed when pulled down. When we went into the bar after being out I would have liked a coffee but the person behind the bar was not able to make one. The staff were very nice though.
The location was great. Nice bars and restaurants nearby. Close to Oxford Street. The staff were friendly and helpful.

SingaporeThe room was really small and the shower was a little cubicle like in a cruise ship. It’s ok for a single person but I think it will be really tight for a couple.
The hotel was in Central London and within walking distance to many tourists attractions. There were several restaurants near the hotel and if you walk towards Charlotte Road, you will find even more options.

IsraelI will just point out a few points regarding the room (408) that it's better if the hotel takes care of them: 1. the security box is on the floor shelf in the closest, meaning that in order to use it you must crawl on the floor... 2. The closet is situated between a wall and the bed. It's quite narrow there. On the wall, a small cupboard is hanged, for the coffee pot. When getting up, after crawling to lock the safety box, my head hit the cupboard. It's a bad and dangerous location to hang the cupboard. 3. There is only one drinking cup in the room. I used it for drinking, which means that I didn't have a cup to place the toothbrush. In addition, during the 4 days there, the cleaning staff has never changed the cup by a clean one. They didn't touch it. 4. The cover of the toilet's stool hides the flushing faucet, which enforces you to touch the cover each time that you need to flush the water... 5. As I departed around 6 am I asked to get a breakfast to take away. I got a paper bag with some fruits: 2 apples, 1 pear, 2 plums, and 2 clementines and a juice. It would be good if they replaced some of the fruits by a piece of cake or a sandwich.
The location is great and the staff is very nice.

United KingdomThe room location was a little noisy as we could hear the lift frequently during the evening and early part of the night. A slightly bigger room would have been preferable too, which would have enabled us to have 2 chairs to sit on rather than just the one.
Breakfast was good, beds comfortable and location excellent.
