Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicWales is amazing and staying in this typical English (Welsh) house is a lovely part of the story. The location is perfect for exploring the seaside in one direction and Snowdonia in the opposite direction.

United KingdomThere is literally nothing I don't like about this property. I would like to go back there soon.
The property was spotlessly, very clean and very well equipped. You can also use Alexa or Prime video on a rainy day at no extra cost. The house itself is small but very cozy just enough for 3/4 ppl. The garden at the back is also beautiful and well landscaped. It is pet friendly so we could also stay with our dog. Very nice and quiet area, just a short walk to the nearest pub, the Bedol Inn, where the food is absolutely delicious.

Beautiful little cottage, in the perfect location. I can’t fault this place. I was clean, tidy and so well thought out… it’s clear a lot of love has gone into this cottage, to ensure guests feel as comfortable as possible. Our contact, Mark, was very helpful and responsive on arrival, ensuring we had all the info we need for a comfortable stay. Dogs are allowed, which is a bonus for our 10month old Labrador who enjoyed his first holiday here!! The place is plenty big enough for a crate to keep them safe during the night. Bonus of the lovely little garden too. The location of this cottage is great, we explored the local area walking, and headed into Conwy, just 11 minutes away by car. We have had a wonderful holiday in wales, finishing our week in this cottage has been the icing on the cake. We’re already planning our next visit. Thanks so much, Mark!

United KingdomMe and my partner had the most relaxing stay here. The property was beautiful, clean and homely. The host was extremely helpful. The log burner made the property and we had some lovely evenings in the living room with the fire burning. A very short drive to Conwy - a beautiful seaside town. Would definitely recommend this place and we hope to come back here again one day.

United KingdomThe absolute only thing I could find was that there was a bulb out in the kitchen, this did not spoil my stay or impact on anything at all but I had to put something.
It was self catering but had everything you would need to cook any meal and a gorgeous pub just up the road if you wanted to eat out. The location was gorgeous, great views, just a beautiful property to get away from the hum drum of life, peaceful, tranquil and perfect for what I wanted. Alexa to switch on heating and hot water, lovely garden at the rear, I could find no faults whatsoever even when I tried

United KingdomWe found the double bed mattress too springy and the bed a bit noisy/creaky. Very aware of other person moving.

United KingdomNothing!
We had a great week at this lovely cottage! The location is perfect to discover the area, beaches and islands North/West of Conwy (15-30 min). Also Snowdownia/e.g. Pen Y Pass is just a 30 min drive away. With love for details you'll find everything you need, especially in the kitchen! Even coffee, sugar and dishwasher tabs were provided. This is not always common. All beds are really comfortable with clean and high quality mattresses! The garden was perfect for our dog and we loved having breakfast outside. The communication with Mark was easy and nice. We definitely will recommend your cottage. Thanks!

United KingdomWithout a doubt this is one of the nicest holiday homes we’ve ever stayed in. The cottage is so cosy and comfortable, with welcoming modern decor, and everything was spotlessly clean. Our dog loved the garden, although we didn’t get to make full use of it because of the weather! The location was ideal for everything we wanted to do on our trip. Overall, we had a perfect stay and we can’t wait to return!
