Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The public spaces and the room we booked surpassed our expectations. We have stayed in quite a few British hotels and this one is the one we would recommend without hesitation.

SwitzerlandThe room was very spacious and had a lovely decor. The location close to a big, green area (Parker's Piece) made it very charming. Also the old town and train station are in walkable distance. The bed was huge and also there was a sofa and an armchair, so you really have options to get comfy. Bike rental would be possible, if needed.

United KingdomThe light in the bathroom was set wrong and wouldn’t go off at night or turn on during the day. Unfortunately we were only staying one night so to there wasn’t a chance to rectify this. It was very expensive.
Really lovely luxury feel with gorgeous garden and very nice modern furniture but cosy and floral. Would be a super wedding venue. Coffee machine in the room and real milk was a nice touch.

The bacon was exceedingly salty, the sausage (1 serving per person) was not cooked properly and when asked for it to be cooked more, the waiter took them back then brought the sausages back with commentary: “these chef said these are now very well done”. It’s pork meat. It has to be well cooked! Perhaps the waiter should have asked us how we wanted our sausages cooked, if chef expected that piece of info.
Everything: clean, great decor, great quality and super clean sheets and towels, good mattress, polite and helpful staff, central, good size TV, good WiFi, NO MOULD IN THE BATHROOM AT ALL! Good aircon / good temperature, no funny smells, easy check-in and checkout, quiet, spacious, beautifully presented.

United Kingdomsome of the less experienced staff were a little hesitant but were clearly being well mentored by their senior colleagues. nearly 30 quid to park my car was a bit much but thanks for letting me keep it there after check out while we went into town.
light and airy, very clean, lovely big room and comfortable bed. a bit of a walk into town but through pleasant surroundings. The staff were lovely with a special mention to Imaan in the bar and Robert in the restaurant, both of whom were fabulously professional and attentive. The food in the terrace was outstanding
