Beautiful castle, property, location and incredible staff that make the experience more special. Pictures don’t do it justice. Make sure to take time to enjoy the library and lounge. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. I highly recommend a walk around the property following a wonderful meal. I wish we stayed more than one night. There is nothing to complain about. However, you should know that it is not very convenient to get there if you don't have a car, but it is worth the adventure.

I fell in love with the Castle and loved every single bit about it. Our room was fantastic, with an amazing view. The garden outside and the lake make everything more romantic. They have a cute library where you can have coffee while relaxing or reading. The breakfast was fulfilling with many choices.

A beautiful property in a great location. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, with a great view down to the loch. We enjoyed an opportunity to walk around the grounds and relax beside the loch for a while. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful.

‘We don’t serve coffee after 5pm’

Our beautifully furnished and decorated room with four-poster and bath overlooked the loch on one side and gardens on the other: the perfect, tranquil setting to celebrate a big wedding anniversary. Our two dinners were superb and breakfasts and afternoon tea were excellent. This is a family-run hotel and the co-owners’ three children served at mealtimes with charm and good humour, adding warmth to the friendliest atmosphere I’ve experienced in a good hotel. Two added bonuses: a loch-side walk through fragrant yellow azaleas to a castle ruin, and a tennis court. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly.

Our stay at Glengarry Castle Hotel was an absolute pleasure. The room was large and light and the design of the interior is pretty similar to those gorgeous room scenes like from Downton Abbey:) In Glengarry you really feel the ambience of older times but also you have the amenities of modern days. Breakfast was perfect as well! And the library is a dream. If we are in Scotland again we will definitely book a stay at Glengarry Castle.

Be aware the hotel is not actually a castle. It is an impressive old manor house with the ruins of a castle on the grounds. Of course they don't claim any different. The atmosphere is quite formal, which is no doubt appropriate to the setting, but for our taste it was a bit overboard.
