Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomOnly a small issue. We had to park on the road as unable to park in the private car park due to the length of our car. However we were able to park near to the property on both nights we were there.

United KingdomThe shower was dirty so I did not use , no extra blankets , so I had to share the bed with my child , most places will leave a blanket and wet towels bed sheets etc left in the washing machine.

United KingdomWould not have found the car park without intervention from a neighbour. Host might want to make directions clearer. The outside bin mentioned on rules list impossible to locate. Wifi could be added to the rules list. The patio area could do with a jet wash and some plants. This is a just a suggestion.
The apartment was very nice. No complaints. Fully stocked with cleaning products which allowed us to keep everything clean.

United KingdomIt would be great if you could put the door number on the inside (you have the main door, and you're met with two doors and I was a little unsure on which door was which as both were not numbered.) The apartment was clean and tidy, but it could do with a deep clean, especially in the bathroom. The shower tray took a long time to clear and I noticed little things like the tile grout, washing machine and corners of the flat that needed a bit of TLC. I would definitely stay again and recommend staying here
The location was fab, a 15-minute walk from the station. There are loads of lovely coffee shops and cafes very close by. The host responded within seconds, and communication was great. The apartment was lovely, it was super cute and felt like a home. It had everything I needed, the decor was modern and there was a massive outdoor space. - Loved the giant mirror and the breakfast bar. The bed was super comfy, and I had a great night's sleep. Really good value for money.

United KingdomI grew up in Leigh-On-Sea in the 80s many of the properties there (big old beautiful houses) are converted into flats, which means it's much more populated than ever was, and that was notable more than ever through the amount of cars and limited parking. There is a little bit of private parking (be sure to get clear directions from the owner) but only suitable for a small car really. I guess if you arrive before home time so to speak you will find easy parking on road. Hasn't affected my view of place would stay again as perfect for our visits, but the lovely comfy bed is on quite a large base making little room for side tables/lamps and side of bed. That's just personal preference but could impact someone with challenges in mobility.
The location was perfect for us, visiting family/friends and close to Leigh-On-Sea main Broadway, which was much better, less need for relying public transport or driving which would have been case if had stayed in main hotels in southend/near airport. Plus, it means money spent goes to independents, which I always prefer over big chains. Simple little ground floor flat with everything you would need for long self-catering stay. Easy check in and out. Close to main motorway links and train stations to London. Great communication from owner.

United KingdomAnts running around the kitchen area coming from loose plinth at base of cabinets. Filthy bath mat. Long black hair found in the bed. Mould in the corner of the lounge. Clumps of hair on the bedroom carpet (probably left by inefficient vacuum). No indication of how to access Wifi. No clear indication of where to park - 'private road'/alley was narrow and not sure if I was supposed to park in from of some garages or in the recess at rear of property marked 'no parking, not that my car would have fitted the space easily. Ridiculously difficult to get code for key box which negated early check in approval. Dread to think what was under the bed as it certainly couldn't be moved easily in order to vacuum. Sorry for the poor review. Hopefully the host can fix these complaints for future occupants.
Comfortable seating in the lounge and a good sized television with streaming channels available. Tea, coffee, soap, shampoo all topped up. Good location for a walk to the Old Town, Station, Belton Heights and Leigh Broadway. Comfortable bed. Seating in patio/decking area.

United KingdomI actually didn't end up staying at the apartment due to the parking situation. The parking is down a very narrow 'lane', and I could not fit my car down there or if I did manage to get it to the parking space it would have proven very difficult / impossible to turn around and get out. I am a very competent driver, but the parking was just not accessible for my medium sized car (BMXW X1). I drove around the streets for 20 minutes trying to find a space but there was nothing available anywhere near the apartment so I decided I could not stay. There needs to be clearer instructions on the booking that this space is not accessible for everyone, plus the street parking is EXTREMELY limited. I lost money on this booking, plus had to find somewhere else to stay late on a sunday night - a very inconvenient and disappointing end to my trip.
The apartment looked very clean and comfortable but I didn't stay so can't comment on anything that I liked
